We recently got hints at what’s to come for Mario Day 2026 here in the U.S. from an official Nintendo Australia post about the upcoming Switch 2 console bundle, and Best Buy Canada might have just given us a closer look at the upcoming deals.
While there is no specific data and firm numbers here, the official Canadian Best Buy blog just posted about its upcoming Mar10 Day 2026 celebration, and it might give us an idea of what’s to come. It might also just be a sign the official U.S. announcement will be landing today.
Firstly we are getting what looks a lot like some official artwork for this year’s Mario Day celebration – thus far all of the key art has incorporated both the usual MAR10 text and Super Mario Bros. 40th anniversary monikers – Best Buy Canada is too (seen above).
Update: It appears this key art was already revealed as part of a quiet and short update regarding the official Nintendo NEW YORK Store’s Mario Day plans:
MAR10 Day festivities are coming to Nintendo NEW YORK
It’s the 40th anniversary of the original Super Mario Bros.™ game!
Join us at the Nintendo NEW YORK store from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10 for an opportunity to meet Mario and snap a picture with him.
Capacity is limited. Entry is first come, first served.

Typically speaking the Canadian Mario Day deals aren’t nearly as extensive or as deep as they are here in the U.S. and the Best Buy Canada post isn’t actually mentioning specific deal pricing. But it does list a series of titles that seem like ideal candidates for price drops here in the U.S. – Nintendo usually discounts some of the older Switch games during Mario Day for folks to catch up at a discount – one key mention here is Super Mario Party Jamboree – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV for Nintendo Switch 2 (if there was going to be a Switch 2 game included in the deals this year it might be this one):

- Luigi’s Mansion 3 for Nintendo Switch
- Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury for Nintendo Switch
- Mario vs. Donkey Kong for Nintendo Switch
- Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door for Nintendo Switch
- Mario & Luigi: Brothership for Nintendo Switch
- Super Mario Party Jamboree for Nintendo Switch
- Super Mario Party Jamboree – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV for Nintendo Switch 2
Best Buy Canada also mentions some official accessories that also seem likely candidates for deals this year:
- Samsung Super Mario 256GB microSD Express Card for Switch 2
- PowerA Wireless Controller for Nintendo Switch – Mario Joy
- PowerA Advantage Wired Controller for Switch 2 – Mario Time
- Belkin charging case for Switch 2
The post goes on to mention some of the already released LEGO sets that might very well be seeing discounts for Mario Day 2026 here in the U.S.
Again none of this is saying all too much about what might be coming stateside this year, but then again it might have just given us the official list of game deals that are inbound and given us a look at the official key art for this year’s celebration.
