Mario Day 2026 is already in full swing with up to 50% off physical Switch games and the annual eShop sale now live, not to mention these LEGO sets and a return all-time low on Samsung’s officially-licensed 256GB Switch 2 Express microSD, but it is now time for the Mario Day Direct. This year, with the theatrical release quickly approaching, Nintendo is set to host a dedicated Super Mario Galaxy Movie Direct showcase and it goes live very soon.

You can catch up on all of the other Mario Day 2026 excitement below, but Nintendo is about to go live on its official YouTube channel to give us a brand new look at the upcoming Super Mario Galaxy Movie.
Mario’s next animated adventure will hit the bi g screen starting on April 1, 2026 and today is apparently going to be the final trailer before it does so. The Direct livestream that is about to go live is specifically for the new film and there be no game updates or details according to Nintendo (that’s usually how these things go).
The show starts at 2 p.m. PT/5 p.m. ET and will most likely be a rather short and to the point stream, largely headlined by today’s new trailer:
