Nintendo unveils new Mario Bros. Wonder Nintendo Switch 2 Edition overview trailer for Mario Day

Happy Mario Day folks! The Switch game deals are flying, LEGO just unveiled the all-new Luigi & Mach 8 set, and everything else is waiting for you right here. Nintendo also officially released some new Nintendo Classics Mario games this morning and has now unveiled the new overview trailer for Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder is easily one of, if not, the best modern 2D Mario experience, but that was a Switch 1 game. Nintendo has now readying the expanded version’s launch with the Meetup in Bellabel Park add-on and has now unleashed 6+ minute overview trailer detailing its new features:

We already got a good look at the game’s expanded mechanics and new features during a recent Nintendo Treehouse livestream gameplay session, but today’s new trailer wraps up the highlights into one neat package ahead of the game’s official release on March 26, 2026.

Here are some of the highlights to watch out for, according to Nintendo:

  • The Koopalings Have Arrived – All seven Koopalings have invaded the Flower Kingdom! Seek them out in these new boss courses found throughout the main game, and take them on solo, alongside your buds1, or play online with up to 11 live shadows of players from around the world2 – the choice is yours!
  • Super Flower Pot Power-Up – Grab this item to transform into a flower with a bouquet of new actions at your disposal, like extending your jumps with a flutter or attacking enemies by launching large flowers into the air.
  • Dual Badges – Collect and combine Action, Boost and Expert Badges to create different effects for your character. Mix and match effects and discover new ways to make your adventure a breeze … or an even greater challenge.
  • Bellabel Water – Play attractions and more than 70 training courses to obtain Bellabel Water. Pour it on sprouts and a variety of flowers will bloom, including Greetings Flowers and Instrument Flowers, which will help decorate and enliven the park.
  • New amiibo figure features – Three amiibo3 figures – Elephant MarioPoplin & Prince Florian and Captain Toad & Talking Flower – will launch on the same date as the game on March 26. Tap an amiibo in Bellabel Park to change the flower field and other decorations, or while on a course to obtain a power-up.
