Sony officially announced the 2026 Days of Play Sale yesterday, just as we expected, and everything is going live today. The annual celebration features hundreds of digital game deals, price drops on physical PS5 games at Amazon and other major retailers, a rare deal on Ghost of Yotei at Walmart and Amazon, as well as deals on PS5 controllers, PS VR2, and more – it all goes live today.

PlayStation Days of Play 2026
For those unfamiliar, the PlayStation Days of Play is an annual event that takes place in late spring/early summer to celebrate PlayStation gamers. While it might seem a little bit bitter sweet this year after a series of price increases on PS5 consoles and PS Plus, the best deals are largely for folks who already have a console anyway.

PlayStation Days of Play 2026 game deals
While Sony didn’t give up any details on exactly which games would be on sale in physical form this year, we are very much expecting a wide-range suite of first-party titles from The Last of Us and Spider-Man through to Death Stranding 2, and more. It did mention games like “Ghost of Yōtei, Helldivers 2, Death Stranding 2 and The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered,” but there’s no word on whether these are physical deals or just on the PlayStation Store.

Alongside the physical titles, there will be hundreds of digital titles on sale in the PlayStation Store, according to Sony. I personally think that’s a bit modest – it might be more like over 1,000 with the DLC and add-ons.

Yes, there is a Days of Play Sale this year and it starts today.
The PlayStation Days of Play sale in 2026 starts on May 27.
The start time will cary today as participating retailers – Amazon, Walmart, Target, Best Buy, and so on – will all have the deals going live at different times. It is best to be ready at 12 midnight ET, but chances are Best Buy’s deals will start at 1 a.m. ET and the Amazon discounts will start to go live at 3 a.m. ET.
The 2026 Days of Play sale ends on June 10.
