After years of leaks Bethesda finally shadow dropped the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in mid 2025, and after receiving its fair share of rumors, we now have an official release date for the Switch 2 edition.
Folks have been talking about this one landing on Nintendo’s current-gen platform for a while, but we now when with the debut of today’s new release date trailer:
Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered for Switch 2 is now set for an official release on August 11, 2026 with a $59.99 list price – pre-orders are now live.
Alongside the remastered base game, the Switch 2 version also includes Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine expansions, as well as loads of DLC add-ons: “Fighter’s Stronghold, Spell Tomes, Vile Lair, Mehrune’s Razor, The Thieves Den, Wizard’s Tower, The Orrery and the Horse Armor Pack.”
The Switch 2 version will feature upgraded weapons, sweet rolls, and character models, as well as motion control action while exploring the lands of Cyrodiil.

After the GTA VI code-in-box debacle, and Nintendo receiving is fair share of criticism over Game Key releases since Switch 2’s release, some folks will be happy to hear the new Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered on Switch 2 is indeed on a proper Switch 2 game card (there is also a digital version):
