Microsoft officially revealed the upcoming and particularly sweet-looking XBOX Series X25 Limited Edition console and controller a couple months ago as part of its giant summer showcase. At the time, Xbox said it would share the price and release date later, but it looks like both have now leaked online.
At this point no one should expect any console to be affordable, and especially not a limited edition release with a translucent green livery. We were targeting the new XBOX Series X25 at somewhere north of $800, and it looks like we might, unfortunately, be right.
The folks over at Dealabs who have been ruining (leaking) release plans for a long while now claim to already have the European pricing and the release date for the new XBOX Series X25.
We are most likely going to get official word on the price and release date during gamescom 2026 later this month, but if the recent leak is true, you can expect to pay $899 for the X25 console ahead of its release on November 27 when everything is on sale for Black Friday.
The pre-order start date for folks who are willing to shell out the cash for the see-through heritage-inspired machine remains elusive, for now.
That’s a ton of cash for a console with half the storage of something like a PS5 Pro and no disc drive – a 1TB Xbox Series X with drive carries a $800 list price.
