Now just over 24 hours away from the official Grand Theft Auto VI Extended Look, and a week of unfortunate leaks by extortionists trying to ruin the game for everyone else, Rockstar has finally issued an official statement on the matter.
Rockstar starts by saying, it knows the community has been waiting to hear from them on the matter, and yes we very much have.
Rockstar says the gameplay leaks have been “heartbreaking” for its team, and that this is very much not how it intended we see the game…obviously. I hear you Rockstar, I certainly didn’t want this either.
Here’s what it had to say as per an official statement on its social channels:
This statement come roughly a week after a nefarious group began leaking gameplay clips of the most anticipated game in history, and right before Rockstar had announced it would show us what it has been working on for over a decade.
Now, after north of 10 gameplay leaks, all of which have mostly just been horrible little low-res clips that are hardly worth your time anyway, we are just over 24 hours away from the biggest gameplay reveal in about as long as it took for Rockstar to make the thing.
