New touchscreen PROLED MacBook Pro with light-up Apple logo now available for pre-order

Alongside pre-orders for the new brand new OLED iPad mini, M6 MacBook Pro, and the new M6 iMac, today’s most exciting new unveil from Apple has arrived as well, the new touchscreen-equipped MacBook Pro with PROLED XDR Display and the light-up Apple logo is now also available for pre-order.

Touchscreen MacBook Pro pre-orders now live – PROLED XDR Display

  • 14-inch M5 Pro MacBook Pro with PROLED XDR Display $2,899
  • 16-inch M5 Pro MacBook Pro with PROLED XDR Display $3,399

The M6 chip has made its way into the base MacBook Pro, but Apple has also now unveiled the exciting new  M5 Pro and M5 Max PROLED XDR Display model as well.

The name certainly doesn’t roll off the tongue the way I had hoped, but it does have a super slick new OLED display – arguably the best Apple has ever put on a MacBook – and also happens to be the very first touchscreen Mac.

Crafted specifically for the Mac, every touch interaction feels incredibly responsive and refined. Everyday tasks are simple and intuitive, allowing users to scroll through a webpage with a natural swipe; pinch to zoom in on a photo; drag and drop slides from one presentation to another; and double-tap a window to fill the screen, or flick to tile it into place.

The new PROLED XDR Display model is also the first to deliver Dynamic Island  action as opposed to the notch. But perhaps, most exciting of all, it marks the return of the glowing lit-up Apple logo around back (okay, the display is clearly the highlight here, but the logo light is back and I’m stoked!).
