Nintendo reveals the next GameCube game for Switch 2 – Wario World now live for Expansion Pack members

Nintendo has now unveiled the next GameCube game coming to Switch 2 via its Switch Online Nintendo Classics library – Wario World – and it’s playable right now.

Just after announcing a pair of new titles set to land in the N64 catalog next week –  Rayman 2: The Great Escape and Tonic Trouble – it has now immediately turned its attention back to the popular GameCube lineup that debuted alongside Switch 2 earlier this year.

While Rayman 2: The Great Escape and Tonic Trouble are set for release next week on December 17, Wario World is now available on Nintendo Switch 2 for Switch Online + Expansion Pack members.

Wario World – GameCube – Nintendo Classics – December 2025 Game Updates

Go on a garlic-fueled rampage in this action title released for the Nintendo GameCube™ system in 2003! Wario’s journey begins with a promise of vengeance against a powerful and cursed black jewel that’s warped his castle and nabbed his treasure. Defeat enemies, collect coins and treasures, and rescue Spritelings trapped in boxes as you progress through four stages. Wario’s got some mighty powerful moves, like Wild Swing-Ding and Piledriver, that aren’t just good for attacking—they’re also slick at clearing path-blocking traps.

The Wario World launch comes on the heels of Nintendo bringing Luigi’s Mansion to the GameCube library for Halloween this year, just after the debut of Chibi-Robo in late August, and Super Mario Strikers before that. While it appeared, based on the way it was bringing new titles to the GameCube library throughout 2025, Pokemon Colosseum was next up, Nintendo has decided to bring Wario’s garlic-fueled 3D rampage from 2003 into the mix instead.
