While this weekend was all about the Super Mario Galaxy Movie Nintendo Direct and getting our first look at Yoshi, not to mention the new Talking Flower going up for pre-order via Amazon at $35, this week it’s Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream. Nintendo has announced the next Direct livestream and it is set to go live in a few day’s time.
Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream Direct
This past weekend we got a short but very sweet Super Mario Galaxy Movie Nintendo Direct with a new trailer ahead of the sequel’s debut this spring. But later this week on Thursday, January 29, 2026 Nintendo will its next Nintendo Direct and this time it will be another dedicated showcase for Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream.
While perhaps not the big-time first-party Direct showcase you were hoping for, Nintendo has been promoting the upcoming Tomodachi Life experience for quite a while now and it finally looks like it has a whole lot more to say about it considering it is getting its own Direct later this week.
As of right now, the game still does not have an official release date outside of a 2026 spring launch window. But with the next Direct now now on the slate for this week, we will almost certainly be getting that date locked down soon.
