Nintendo officially confirmed this week’s Nintendo Direct showcases yesterday, and it is set to go live this morning. Rumors and predictions pointed at an official livestream hitting the airwaves in the first week of February and that it very much is, with a full 30-minutes of updates on upcoming Switch and Switch 2 games.
Nintendo Direct: February Partner Showcase live today
Just after getting a fresh new look at Yoshi and friends in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie and a complete breakdown and release date for Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream in a dedicated Direct one week ago, Nintendo will host its first Partner Showcase of the year this morning.
Today’s Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase is set to go live during Nintendo’s usual slot at 6 a.m. PT/9 a.m. ET and run for roughly 30 minutes. But what will be in it?
Well, we of course, can’t say for sure – Nintendo keeps these things close to its chest until showtime, but we do know the show will largely, if not entirely, be focused on third-party titles and Switch 2 ports. It is a Partner Showcase after all. There is always a chance a big-time, almost first-party like title makes an appearance, especially in the one last thing headliner nearer the end of the presentation, but even that is likely to be a third-party experience.
We would love to get another look at and more details for From Software’s upcoming The Duskbloods – we have only ever seen the game once and it is still set to release this year. More on From’s Switch 2 version of Elden Ring is certainly a possibility as well.
Chances are we will see some Final Fantasy action here today – Final Fantasy VII Remake is already out on Switch 2 and some typically reliable leakers have suggested FF VII Rebirth is on the slate for today’s showcase.
Some other likely candidates include The Adventures of Elliot, Resident Evil Requiem details (potentially something on amiibo), and Monster Hunter Stories 3.
Either way, all will be revealed shortly, and you can watch the show along with us below.
A new Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase livestream is on the way! Tune in on Feb 5 at 6am PT for roughly 30 minutes of information on upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch games.
