Nintendo announces 80-min. gameplay livestream featuring Pokémon Pokopia and Mario Bros. Wonder expansion

Just after the announcement of Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen for Switch and Switch 2, Nintendo has now scheduled lengthy showcase set to deliver nearly an hour and half of gameplay for the new Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park as well as a closer deep dive look at Pokémon Pokopia ahead of the next Pokémon Presents on Friday

New Nintendo Treehouse: Live presentation: Pokémon Pokopia and Mario Bros. Wonder Switch 2 Edition

Officially speaking, this is not the next major Nintendo Direct you are likely waiting for, but we are set to head back to the Nintendo Treehouse this week for a closer look at two major upcoming Switch 2 releases: the Meetup in Bellabel Park expansion for Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition and the new Pokémon Pokopia.

This will likely be your typical Treehouse livestream, where some fun lovin’ Nintendo staffers take hold of these games and give us some (mostly) unedited, if not slightly careful, looks at both titles. According to today’s announcement, Switch gamers will be able to tune in on February 24 at 2 p.m. PT/5 p.m. ET for a new Nintendo Treehouse: Live presentation featuring hands-on gameplay of Meetup in Bellabel Park and Pokémon Pokopia. Nintendo says the livestream will run for “roughly 80 minutes.”

As a quick reminder, Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park officially releases on March 26, 2026 and the new Pokémon meets Animal Crossing-like experience, Pokémon Pokopia, is scheduled to hit store shelves on March 5, 2026.
