The Mario Day celebrations are already kicking off. We got some early details on some of GameStop’s plans yesterday and now Nintendo has announced three new Mario Nintendo Classics releases set to go live on MAR10.
Mario Day 2026 – New Nintendo Classics Mario games
We are still awaiting for an actual release date for Super Mario Sunshine – Nintendo has already confirmed it will be coming to the GameCube Nintendo Classics library at some point – and we might very well get some news for next week. But Nintendo might be saving that one for the summer and instead stick with the three new Mario classics it just announced instead:
- Mario’s Tennis – Virtual Boy Nintendo Classics
- Mario Clash – Virtual Boy Nintendo Classics
- Mario vs. Donkey Kong – Game Boy Advance Nintendo Classics
As you can see in the Nintendo Classics – March 2026 Game Updates launch trailer below, Nintendo will be releasing Mario’s Tennis and Mario Clash to the Virtual Boy library as well as the classic Game Boy Advance edition of Mario vs. Donkey Kong to celebrate Mario Day 2026.
All three titles will go live in their respectively Switch Online libraries starting on March 10.
Additional classic games for Virtual Boy – Nintendo Classics, and Game Boy – Advance Nintendo Classics will be playable for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers on March 10th!
Nintendo has yet to make any official announcements for its Mario Day plans this year, but we are expecting it any day now– it fully revealed them on March 4 last year. The announcement of these three Mario titles are clearly the first phase of Nintendo’s MAR10 rollout and we are expecting a whole lot more than this – game deals, potential new Switch bundle, and more. Stay tuned.
