Leakers already outed the potential existence of a Starfield Nintendo Switch 2 edition previously, but the game just appeared on an international ratings board, further fueling the fire of an imminent release.
Reports surfaced recently after Bethesda’s open(ish)-world sci-fi space game was spotted on a Taiwanese ratings board.
This of course does not mean it is 100% for sure going to release on Switch 2, but after some reliable leakers suggested it was inbound as well, it certainly lends further credence to an upcoming port for Nintendo’s latest-generation console.
NateTheHate, the fella who seemingly started this mass wave of Nintendo Switch 2 leaks over the last month or so, suggested Starfield was inbound previously, but also stated the development/porting process has not been a smooth one.
This is an easy one to believe – I don’t think anyone who has played the title on PS5 would think it was going to be easy to get it to run properly on Switch 2. But if the ratings board listing is indeed an indication of an imminent release, it seems as though someone figured something out.
This “leak” hits just after Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy for Switch 2 was spotted on a Taiwanese ratings board, alongside a whole host of other unannounced Switch 2 ports. This is either an indication that some or most of them are fake, or perhaps only hopeful Switch 2 releases, or that they are likely all real and these ratings boards should/could be in big trouble at Nintendo.
