June has arrived and that means the biggest gaming showcases of the year are inbound very soon. June typically houses the summer showcases from all of the biggest publishers, platforms, and more, with the massive hour+ long broadcasts from PlayStation, Xbox, and more already set in stone. Head below for a rundown of when all of the biggest game reveals of the summer will be going live this month and more details on the potentially upcoming summer Nintendo Direct.
Summer game showcase schedule:
- Summer Game Fest Partner Showcase June 1 at 12 p.m. ET
- PlayStation State of Play June 1 at 5:00 p.m. ET
- Summer Game Fest Main Event June 5 at 5:00 p.m. ET
- XBOX Summer Games Showcase June 7 at 1:00 p.m. ET
- PC Gaming Show June 7 at 3:00 p.m.
There is one giant, glaring omissions above – Nintendo. The Mario Maker is yet to set anything in stone for this month, but several industry insiders have already stated we should expect something from Nintendo as far as a Direct showcase goes in June.
There are no official details just yet, but as we detailed in our recent feature post, just about all signs point to some kind of Direct this month. Nintendo can more or less make up its own rules here, and then not follow them at all, but we have got something from Nintendo every June for years – the real question is whether or not it will be a full on Direct chock-full of big-time titles for Switch 2, a dedicated showcase for the rumors Ocarina of Time remake, or something else entirely? Only time will tell now, but you can read up on everything we know so far about the potentially upcoming June Nintendo Direct right here.
We, of course will be covering all of the major summer gaming events right here on 9to5Toys, the best deals on pre-orders, and more. Stay tuned.
