While all of the latest PlayStation news has been surrounding Sony’s insistence on ridding its gaming ecosystem of disc-based gaming, despite waves of backlash, one title you will be able to score on disc is the new Marvel’s Wolverine game set for release later this year. And Sony just dropped a new “Story Trailer” to give us some insight into the narrative for Logan’s upcoming adventure.
Last week Sony dropped a pretty epic cinematic “Ain’t No Hero” trailer for the upcoming title, but today it is all about the game’s story:
The trailer’s description says “new allies and formidable adversaries emerge in the clash for mutant survival.” Taking on the role of Wolverine, players will “unite with Jean Grey to protect those most vulnerable. Fight alongside Team X to confront the world’s deadliest villains in the caliber of Bolivar Trask, Omega Red, and Deathstrike, and stand against oppressive forces like The Reavers and The Hand.”
The upcoming Marvel’s Wolverine seems to take place in a universe before the X-Men, as we know them, have truly formed, and pre-orders are now live ahead of the September 15 release date.
