At IFA 2026, and running alongside the reveal of Govee’s Permanent Outdoor Lights 2 Pro, the brand is also ripping the veil off two additional smart lighting solutions – the Sky Ceiling Light and the COB Lights 2 Pro. Unlike the Permanent Outdoor Lights 2 Pro, which open for purchases on September 7, 2026, these two new alternate models will open their purchases sooner on September 4, 2026. The highlight here is the extended AI capabilities for these new solutions, allowing for group control that unlocks better synchronization for managing multiple different lighting devices.
Govee reveals AI-powered mood-responsive ceiling light
The first of these two newly unveiled lighting devices is Govee’s Sky Ceiling Light, which the brand is boasting as “the industry’s first AI-powered mood-responsive ceiling light, designed for everyday wellness.” It brings along the brand’s AI Lighting Bot 2.0 tech, allowing for greater personalization based on each person’s mood on any given day. Want to feel energized and focused, for example? The system will deliver the brand’s 478nm sky-blue spectrum, “a wavelength precisely tuned to support the body’s natural vitality and rhythm.”
Right alongside the AI support is plenty of advanced lighting tech bolstering the experience. For starters, there’s the Vitality Spectrum Technology that brings along the custom 478nm sky-blue wavelength I mentioned before, which helps to maintain alertness during times where any natural daylight is limited.
There’s also the NaturalTone algorithm that provides natural-looking white light across a 1,000K to 10,000K color range, maxing out at up to 7,000 lumens of white light and a CRI of 95. What’s more, it delivers “TÜV Rheinland-certified for low-glare performance, rated RG0 for no blue light hazard, and designed with flicker-free performance for a more comfortable daily lighting experience.”
This algorithm pairs with the DaySync automatic adjustment feature that is based on both time and weather, not to mention the Sky Ceiling Light also comes with Matter support, letting you more easily integrate and streamline its smart controls across any ecosystems you’ve already got installed across your home.
Govee AI COB Strip Light amplifies personal creativity
The second of these major reveals is Govee’s COB Strip Light 2 Pro that also boasts AI-powered personalization for your individual creativity. Like the above device, the AI Lighting Bot 2.0 tech is present here, translating your descriptions into personalized scenes via voice or text prompts. This allows you to create ambient lighting for any indoor scenarios – gaming, parties, movie nights, and so much more – delivering “flawless, hotspot-free light that naturally blends into home.”
Govee has complemented the AI support with a density of 1,34 LEDs and 16 ICs per each meter of strip, not to mention there is a triple-layer groove design. This design “ensures flawlessly smooth output in both single-color and dynamic multi-color modes.” There’s tons more color accuracy with this new-generation of ceiling light, thanks to the combination of the RGBWWIC tech, LuminBlend+ color engine, and the ultra-wide 1,000K to 10,000K color temperature range.
While the COB Strip Light 2 Pro is Govee’s flagship model in this series, the brand will also be introducing a COB Strip Light 2 model, too.
