Last year Activision brought Rovio’s popular Angry Birds franchise to home consoles with Angry Birds Trilogy. Today, the companies have announced they will be bringing the popular Angry Birds Star Wars to Xbox 360, PS3, PS Vita, Wii, Wii U and 3DS on October 29.  The game will feature HD graphics and a host of new additions including, 20 all new levels and co-op multiplayer. This title adds 20 never-before-seen exclusive levels – in addition to the existing 200 from the original Angry Birds Star Wars mobile game – and, for the first time ever, multiplayer modes. Play alongside family members or friends in two-player co-op mode to achieve a combined high score, or against them (up to four players) in competitive mode. The game also delivers achievements and trophies, leaderboards, high-definition graphics (on HD-compatible systems), as well as unlockable bonus levels, items and content.

Just as the new film of the same name from director Guillermo del Toro is about to hit theatres, Reliance Games has just released the ‘Pacific Rim’ mobile game for iPhone and iPad. The developers have done a couple decent movie-tie ins in the past, so hopefully Pacific Rim will be worth the $4.99 it’s asking in the App Store. The game features a story mode with over 30 levels and also a Survival Mode that will allow you to “defend humanity from an endless wave of Kaiju” in one of the massive transformer-like robots from the movie known as Jaegers.

Rovio has dropped a brand new update for Angry Birds today that brings a host of new levels as well as some interesting new gameplay mechanics to the “#1 IPHONE PAID GAME in more countries than we can count!”

The all new Red’s Mighty Feathers episode will bring players through 15 new challenging stages and introduce moving targets. This time, the wave after wave of Bad Piggies will be coming at you in 72 different flying contraptions (seen in the video above) that add a new level of nuance to that classic’s already addictive gameplay. On top of that, Red will also be coming with some new powers given to him “from the Mighty Eagle himself.” These new powers allow for an extreme amount of accuracy allowing the player to briefly pause in air and aim, similar to Chuck the yellow bird.
