nexpaq’s iPhone 6 case enables killer features to be added and removed on-the-fly

Smartphones are becoming more feature packed than ever before, the cameras have improved and battery life has been stretched despite graphic instensive games and memory hogging apps. But consumers still want more. Everyone has different needs and ultimately those small features can’t always make the final build.

Enter nexpaq. A very successful Kickstarter campaign that puts a unique case around your iPhone or Android device allowing you to add and remove features as needed…

After a few days and over 100% of its goal reached, nexpaq has hit the ground running as a potential answer to those unique features you wish your phone had. The basic case wraps around your phone like you’d expect, adding 30-60% extra battery life. From there small blocks can be added that tack-on extra features like an amplified speaker, more battery power, a breathalyzer or even a thermometer.

All told, nexpaq is currently showing 12 different modules for your device at this time. Six individual add-ons can be placed on the case at a time, although nexpaq does have dummy modules for unused spaces. The features themselves are controlled via the app, which allows you to read data collected by sensors or other information provided. The modules themselves are interchangeable between iOS and Android, and when a new model comes out, previous gen add-ons will work with it as well.

With over 100% of its goal reached, production is slated to begin in May with delivery early next year. For $109 you can grab a case and four modules of your choosing, head over to the official Kickstarter page to see all of the add-ons that are available.
