This Wi-Fi-enabled wall plug allows you to control appliances using 1,800 watts or less via the free iOS or Android app. It is compatible with Apple’s HomeKit, so you can turn your devices on or off with Siri plus it can be used with Alexa, Wink and Nest. The SmartPlug uses a “slim design” to leave the second outlet free. Although reviews are somewhat mixed at Amazon, we found this product to be a solid gateway to HomeKit in our hands-on last fall.
