The folks over Anker make some of our favorite smartphone accessories on the market. And when the company launched its sister-brand Eufy last fall, the same quality we’ve come to expect from Anker carried over into its lineup of smart home accessories. Today, Eufy has announced the latest addition to its smartphone-enabled home gadgets in the form of the EverCam, a wireless security camera that touts 365-days of battery life and more.

Eufy’s line of smart home accessories have quickly become some of our favorite smartphone and voice-enabled gadgets on the market. Headlined by Alexa-packed Genie smart speaker, Eufy’s devices feature much of the functionally from competitors at a more affordable price points. Now looking to throw its hat into the home security camera ring, Eufy’s latest boasts high-end features like year long battery life, facial recognition and more.

At its core, the EverCam is a wireless security camera that pairs over Wi-Fi much like other similarly featured devices currently on the market. Inside the camera’s weather-resistant casing is a 140-degree wide angle lens paired with a f2.2 aperture Sony Exmor sensor to provide 1080p live streaming. However, it’s the EverCam’s robust line of features and affordable price point that set it apart from the competition.

Headlined by facial recognition, the EverCam can detect individual people and pings your phone with appropriate notifications in response. So you’ll be able to stay on top of break-ins and more. Other features like motion detection and night vision bolster the camera’s functionality.

One of the EverCam’s biggest selling points is that it’s entirely wireless. Aside from its Wi-Fi connectivity, Eufy’s security camera packs a built-in battery which allows it to surveil your home for a full year before needing to be recharged. Lacking a wired power source also makes installing the EverCam incredible simple, with an adhesive mount allowing you to place the camera just about anywhere.

Having just launched the campaign earlier today, Eufy has already managed to lock in over $376,000 on Kickstarter. Originally looking to raise $50,000, the campaign has already exceeded its goal over seven and a half times over. Those looking to outfit their homes with the latest from Eufy can lock in one of the EverCam at $219, saving you $110 off the eventual retail price. Ordering more than one scores you even more savings. Shipping is slated for later this year in September, meaning they’ll arrive with plenty of time to spare in order to keep an eye on the arrival of your holiday gifts.
