OWC’s official Amazon storefront today is now offering its 11-port Thunderbolt 4 Dock for $229.99 shipped after the on-page coupon has been clipped. Down from $250, you’re now looking at a $20 discount and the second-best price to date. This is matching our previous mention from back in April and comes within $20 of the all-time low. While this isn’t the shiny new metal version we just took a hands-on look at, this OWC Thunderbolt 4 dock is just as well equipped for turning your MacBook into a more desktop-class workstation. The single Thunderbolt 4 cord delivers 96W of power to your machine, while also passing through all of the monitors and peripherials plugged into one of its 10 ports. On the front, there’s some quick-access I/O like an SD card reader, USB-A slot, and a headphone jack. Then around back are the real stars of the show, with three Thunderbolt 4 ports, Gigabit Ethernet, and then three 10Gb/s USB-A slots. Dive into our launch coverage for a closer look at what to expect.
Clocking in at half the price, we’re also still tracking a chance to save on the OWC 5-port dual display Thunderbolt Hub. This model is a less capable counterpart to the lead deal, but slimming back the I/O also means you’re going to make out for a more affordable price tag. It’s now down to $100, taking $30 off what we’ve been seeing it sell for as of late. You aren’t getting the same legacy connectivity as offered by the lead deal, but will still benefit from the same flexible Thunderbolt offering.
Those who can get away with Thunderbolt 3 specs may find that there’s another, even more compelling solution out there right now. Also on sale, CalDigit’s popular TS3 Plus solution arrives with a slightly less capable foundation of Thunderbolt 3 support as opposed to the newer standard used above. But it packs one of the more robust feature sets on the market and now starts from $220 at Amazon. With a full metal build housing all of the legacy I/O you could need, there’s as much as $80 in savings.
OWC Thunderbolt 4 Dock features:
Through a single Thunderbolt port you can connect and charge anything via this compact hub: dual 4K/5K displays or one 6K/8K display, high-performance storage including NVMe solutions, A/V mixers, phone or tablet, even desktop accessories like a keyboard or mouse. Accessories with past, present or future USB or Thunderbolt interfaces all connect to the OWC Thunderbolt Hub.
