Best Buy just officially told us there will be more Switch 2 console stock available soon, here are the details…

Yesterday we spotted the official Best Buy Switch 2 landing page specifically mentioning more console stock was inbound for launch day. Best Buy then quickly removed this mention altogether leaving most folks confused as to whether or not this was some kind of mistake or if it realized it wasn’t going to have any more units come next month. Best Buy has now official reached out to us to confirm more units are coming. Details below.

Since yesterday’s back and forth, Best Buy has once again updated it landing page to inform potential walk-in customers more Switch 2 consoles will be available for launch day. But after backpedaling yesterday, it, (until now) was hard to say if this indeed the case.

In addition to fulfilling pre-orders, most stores will have limited inventory of systems, games and accessories for in-store purchase. Customers will also have the chance to receive a Nintendo collectible. Check out our full assortment below.

Fortunately we have reached out to Best Buy directly and it has now officially confirmed to 9to5Toys that it will indeed have a limited number of consoles at brick and mortar locations on launch day.

By the sounds of it, alongside its midnight pre-order pickup lines that are sure to start populating well before 12 a.m. local time on June 5, it will have a small number of consoles available for purchase for walk-in customers. How many it will actually have is unclear, but Best Buy did directly confirm to us that most Best Buy stores will also have a limited number of the Nintendo Switch 2 consoles during the midnight opening on June 5.

It also sounds like this re-stock will only be available in store, but that is unclear at this point.

These units are sure to sell out extremely fast, and you’ll almost certainly want to get in line as early as possible that night to ensure you land one.

On top of that, Best Buy has also directly told us that folks attending the midnight opening will have a “chance” to score the Nintendo collectible item we reported on previously – it is now confirmed to be available in limited quantities as well.

What is this collectible? We aren’t sure yet – previous rumors suggested some kind of collectible coin, but nothing is set in stone at this point. Best Buy has assured us it will have more details in the coming weeks on the limited quantities as well as the collectible item details. Stay tuned.
