Rise, Tarnished: Elden Ring officially releases on Switch 2 this summer

While we are still waiting an official release date on FromSoft’s Switch 2 exclusive, The Duskbloods, ready your swords my fells Tarnished warriors, you will officially be heading back to The Lands Between in just two months time – the release date for Elden Ring Tarnished Edition on Switch 2 has been revealed.

We have known about the Elden Ring Tarnished Edition for Switch 2 for quite some time, and rumors have surfaced regarding a mid to late 2026 release for some time as well, but now we know for sure.

Elden Ring Tarnished Edition on Switch 2 pre-orders are now live at Amazon and Walmart at a whopping $80– I guess that’s because it does include the expansion though.

FromSoftware has now taken to its official Elden Ring X account to announce the August 28 release date on Switch 2 – this version includes the base game, the Shadow of the Eritrea expansion, as well as new weapons, armor, and skins for your spectral steed, Torrent:

ELDEN RING Tarnished Edition is the ultimate way to experience the praised dark fantasy saga on the new Switch platform. Not only does it include everything from the original game and its major expansion, but it also brings tailored new content – such as classes, gear, skills, mount customization, and customization for the Spectral Steed – that enriches both new and returning players’ journeys.
