Yes, this is an open-box set, and you can score the regularly $459 XM6 down at $398 shipped on Amazon right now in brand new condition, but it is, nonetheless, hard to deny the savings here. While these headphones seem to sell for closer to $398 more often than not – you can even score the brand new Olive Gray set at $399 right now – $229 is a completely different price range, and one a whole lot lower than that.

I came away more than happy during my hands-on time with the XM6 at launch. The audio is just as good or better, the ANC is even more impressive, I find them particularly comfortable to wear, and the new magnetic case is brilliant.
