Check out this posable Piranha Plant Switch 2 Docking Station with glow light

Not all Switch 2 accessories are made equal, some of them look like an actual Piranha Plant that double as a TV docking station for your Switch 2, charges all sorts of joy-Con pairs at the same time, features glow night lighting, and posable arms.

Yes there are other dock stations like this out there, and some folks aren’t into these sort of gimmicky or overly flashy themed options, but this one certainly caught our eye.

This POWKONG Piranha Plant Switch 2 Docking Station can connect your machine to the big screen, much like that plan old dock that shipped with your Switch 2. The posable arms double as Joy-Con controller chargers with onboard status lights, and the mouth (lips?) of the Piranha Plant actually light up:

In screen mirroring mode, a soft white light turns on and automatically off when not in use, allowing you to easily monitor charging and casting status

As far as the casting experience goes, it delivers 4K/60fps visuals, according to the listing page – “supports screen mirroring for Switch 1 & Switch 2. NOTE: Please use a charger with a power rating of 60W or higher to ensure the normal operation of the function”

There is a built-in cooling system and here are the details on the charging action:

…output power of 5.0V, the switch 2 tv dock supports switch 1 & 2 charging and screen casting from the top. Both sides are designed exclusively for switch 2 Joypads, allowing up to 4 joypads to charge fully in 3 hours for nonstop gaming.

It’s not a Switch 2 accessory we have tested out ourselves yet, but it is one of the more fun options we have seen that is basically a guaranteed conversation starter in the game room.

It carries a $99 list price (currently selling for $96.99), which we aren’t totally stoked about, but it is a sizable set piece unit and one that does have a pretty extensive feature set. We will keep our eyes out for a price drop.
