Nintendo officially reveals Super Mario Sunshine Switch Online GameCube release date, more

The next Nintendo Classics GameCube release has now been revealed. Super Mario Sunshine and a pair of previously unreleased Virtual Boy titles are set to land starting in early August.

Super Mario Sunshine finally get a release date

Now, over a year after telling us it was coming, Nintendo has finally decided to bring players back to Isle Delfino as Super Mario Sunshine is set to hit the Nintendo Classics GameCube library in mid August.

The second 3D Super Mario title, Sunshine originally released on GameCube back in 2002 and will be making its way to your Switch 2 on August 13, 2026. Providing you are, of course, a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack member.

The Super Mario Sunshine announcement also came alongside some virtual Boy news Enter the Third Dimension! – Virtual Boy – Nintendo Classics trailer.

Just over a week before Mario makes his way back to Delfino, Nintendo will debut a pair of previously unreleased Virtual Boy titles for Expansion Pack members – D-HOPPER and ZERO RACERS will be available to play on starting August 4.

Now all we need is that Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time release date announcement:
