After initially being detailed back at CES 2020, LG is now providing more information on its line of this year’s OLED TVs. LG is slated to release 14 new models in all, including the art-inspired GX Gallery series, real 8K ZX models, and 4K Ultra HD TVs. With more pressuring mounting from competitors in Samsung and Sony, LG is moving quickly to saturate the market with its latest OLED TVs, including the smallest panel to date. New LG OLED TVs set to hit the market

All told, LG will be releasing four collections into the wild later this month. The new BX and CX lines are designed for the average consumer and are largely a continuation of last year’s lineup, just with an added X on the product names. Most notably, the entry-level displays including a new 48-inch model, which is the smallest panel LG has offered to date. Additionally, there are 55-, 65-, and 77-inch options.

Moving on to the Gallery GX series, which is made to be mounted directly to walls, with an ultra-slim design. The 55- to 77-inch panels offer an even lower-profile build than the brand’s previously thin TVs.

The ZX series arrives as LG’s latest 8K offering, with 77- and 88-inch panels available at launch. This is a follow-up to last year’s Z9 TV, and continues the march toward the next generation of ultra-high resolution TVs.

On top of that, LG will be introducing an additional seven TVs featuring 8K capabilities as part of its NanoCell LCD lineup. Those will come in 55-, 65-, and 75-inch sizes.

Specs and pricing

The entire lineup featured in today’s announcement includes support for HDMI 2.1, variable refresh rates up to 120Hz, and a handful are officially G-Sync compatible.

LG has yet to officially announce pricing at this time, but we’ll, of course, be getting those details in short order. These TVs are set to hit the scene in a few weeks, and at that time we’ll be getting a full list of pricing.

Exemplifying LG’s commitment to outstanding design, the three new GX Gallery series models (55-, 65- and 77-inches) offer a uniquely minimalist aesthetic, made possible by OLED’s revolutionary panel technology which does not require a backlight. This enables the television to integrate state-of-the-art picture quality in an ultra-thin form factor – the 65-inch model only 20mm thin without the need of a separate control box. Producing images of unprecedented detail and clarity, the much anticipated LG OLED ZX Real 8K models (models 88 OLED ZX and 77 OLED ZX) deliver four times the screen resolution of 4K and 16 times that of Full HD.
