This morning Twelve South has taken the wraps off its newest release, the PencilSnap for Apple Pencil. It is made of leather and designed to attach to just about any iPad case with the idea of securing Apple’s easy-to-lose input device. Not to long ago, Apple announced a similar product with the same $29 price tag. Twelve South’s new product takes the idea to another level with a few subtle features.
Amazon is offering a handful of Twelve South iPhone X cases at all-times low today. Leading the way is the Journal Case in two colors for $54.99, down from its regular price of $70. Free shipping is available on all of today’s deals. Aside from being an all-time low, this is a rare discount on one of Twelve South’s latest accessories. I’ve been using this case since it was released and have been very pleased with both the fit and finish.
Twelve South today has unveiled their new TimePorter travel tote and portable charging stand for the Apple Watch. The TimePorter case resembles a premium eyeglass case, and includes space to hold the Apple Watch charging cable, extra Watch bands, and the USB charger. The case also doubles as a charging stand and Apple Watch display when opened up. TimePorter joins the Forté and HiRise in Twelve South’s current line-up of Apple Watch stands.
This brushed metal stand can charge your Apple Watch in portrait or Nightstand mode and the “weighted base prevents it from being accidentally knocked over”. Rated 4.4/5 stars from over 90 Amazon shoppers and reviewed in detail at 9to5Mac.
Amazon is currently discounting a bunch of Twelve South’s high-quality iPad cases down to all-time low prices. We tend to see Twelve South price drops around major holidays, but other than that it’s tough to find them on sale.

Much like previous models from Twelve South, the HiRise for Apple Watch elevates the device to a level that makes all buttons accessible for easier manipulation. It has a built-in cord management solution to keep the MagSafe charger in place, snaking through the aluminum base while keeping it out of sight.

Today, Twelve South is introducing an updated version called the HiRise Deluxe. Its basic design and function remains the same, but Twelve South has updated two aspects that address the only (very minor) qualms we had with the original HiRise.
Now, the Deluxe model doesn’t require any tools for making size adjustments to accommodate nearly any case. Also, instead of having to provide your own charging cable, Twelve South is now including one Lightning and one Micro-USB cable. In addition to black and silver, the Deluxe HiRise will also be available in a gold finish.
(Update 5/19 10:30am): The time has come. Apple has randomly announced a new Lightning dock for iPhone 6/Plus. However, you should still take a look at the numerous third party options (below) that have been on the market for years. Many of these options offer more styling and better value compared to Apple’s dock.
If you were one of over 4 million people who preordered an iPhone 6 or 6 Plus this weekend, then you may have noticed that one of Apple’s most popular accessories for previous gen iPhones is curiously absent from its online store. As of right now, Apple seems to be sitting on the sideline and will not be releasing a dock designed for its newest smartphones.
Docks position your iPhone in a way that makes it easier to keep tabs on incoming notifications, all while helping create a clean workspace by wrangling messy cables.
There are already several iPhone 6 and 6 Plus dock solutions. Here are our favorite docks, stands, mounts, and more:
Furthermore, this deal is even more noteworthy because we rarely see any substantial discounts on Twelve South Apple accessories. Also, if you don’t qualify for Prime shipping or reach the $35 Amazon free shipping threshold, then your next best buy would be from B&H for $28.27 with free shipping.
The BackPack is a steel shelf that’s designed to mount to the front of back of an iMac or Apple display. Use it to clean up your workspace by safely stowing an external hard drive, keyboard, or even a Mac Mini.
