Collectors should add these Star Wars hardcover art books to their libraries from $19 shipped

From $19

Update @ 8 AM on 12/6: This price has dropped slightly overnight; updated below.

Amazon offers Star Wars Storyboards: The Original Trilogy in hardcover for $18.81 shipped when you clip the on-page coupon. Same at Walmart if you opt to pick it up. It had been hovering near the $30 mark at Amazon recently. It’s currently $36 at Barnes & Noble. This is one of the lowest prices we’ve tracked for this book all-time. You’ve no doubt watched the original Star Wars trilogy. Now you can experience these films in a new way through storyboards, early conceptual art, and deleted scenes. Rated 4.7/5 stars.

You can also add Star Wars: The Blueprints in hardcover to your library for $38.22 shipped. Same at Walmart via pickup discount. This keeps dropping in price since we posted it at $46 only two days ago, which is a sign that you should pick it up. It boasts more than 250 blueprints, 500 photographs and illustrations, and ten gatefolds. Do keep in mind that it’s temporarily out of stock at Amazon, although that hasn’t stopped it from becoming a #1 best seller there.

We also have some art books for you to peruse, particularly if you’re a fan of animation. Check out titles featuring the art of Spirited Away, Rick and Morty, and more from $16 shipped.

Star Wars Storyboards features:

For the first time, Lucasfilm has opened its Archives to present the complete storyboards for the original Star Wars trilogy―the world-changing A New Hope and its operatic sequels, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi―as well as never-before-published art from early conceptual and deleted scenes. From the opening chase above Tatooine in A New Hope to the Battle of Endor in Jedi, this book presents the visual inspiration behind now-iconic moments. Readers can finally see a full set of storyboards by legendary artist Joe Johnston, as well as early boards for Episode IV by Alex Tavoularis and for Episode V by Ivor Beddoes, rarely seen Episode VI boards by Roy Carnon, and Ralph McQuarrie’s never-before-seen storyboards for Episode V.
