DirecTV Now offers a free one-month trial to its streaming service ($35+ value)

It’s been a while since we’ve heard from DirecTV Now, but AT&T’s streaming service is back today with a free one-month trial for new subscribers when promo code RULESFREE9 is applied during checkout. For comparison, you typically only receive a seven-day window to try out this service. You’ll want to cancel your service before the 30-day trial is over or an automatic subscription will begin.

Amazon is offering the film ‘Ken Burns: The Central Park Five’ for just $1 to own. That’s down $12 from its regular price and the lowest we’ve seen it drop. Also available to rent for just $1 is ‘XXX: Return Of Xander Cage’ and ‘Rings’. When renting from Amazon you have 30 days to start watching the film and 48 hours to finish once you’ve started it.

Amazon is currently having a blow-out sale on digital Marvel comics for as little as $0. That’s right, $0, free, nada, zilch. These comics range in price from $012, and all are digital Kindle editions. We have no idea why Amazon is having this insane sale, but they are. There are 400 pages of comics on sale right now, which equates to over 6,000 products. It’s quite mind-boggling, but you might as well take advantage of it if you’re a Marvel fan at all.

Amazon is offering its Prime members a $3 eBook credit for select Kindle Romance Titles for free. Just follow this link and $3 will add to your cart when you click “redeem credit”. This is the first time we’ve seen a credit offer from Amazon that didn’t require a purchase before hand. The offer expires on September 30th. 

There aren’t many kids who lived through the 90’s that will soon forget the Ren & Stimpy cartoon show. The often subversive and now cult classic TV show somehow made its way to a children’s cartoon network, Nickelodeon, in 1991 and lasted until 1995. Since then, a new documentary and behind the scenes look has been in the works to capture the show’s huge impact on TV, art, comedy and popular culture as a whole. This morning, Spotify and Hulu announced that the two services will now be bundled together for students for $4.99 per month. Considering the streaming music already offer an education-focused plan for the same price, this essentially delivers Hulu for free. We’ve already seen Apple and Amazon both announce aggressive offers for the all important student demographic, it’s no surprise that Spotify is making this move to remain competitive.
