How to score Switch 2 Choose Your Game console bundle for even less (Effectively $130 off after price hike)

The Nintendo Switch 2 is going up in price on September 1. What was a $450 console will soon be $500 and there’s no telling where bundle pricing might land thereafter. For folks looking to score a Switch 2 this summer, today we are highlighting a couple chances to land one at a discount – you could go for the official Choose Your Game bundle that will effectively be $80 off after the price hike, but you can score that bundle for even less right now. Details below.

The official Nintendo Choose Your Game Bundle will only be around for a “limited time” now and it includes the base console with one of three (very good) games of your choice: Mario Kart WorldDonkey Kong Bananza, or Pokémon Pokopia. These games are worth up to $80, so you’re effectively landing the package at $30 off here, or $80 off after the upcoming price hike:

  • Nintendo Switch 2: Choose Your Game Bundle $500
    • Up to $530 value now, up to $580 value after upcoming price hike

However, there is a way to land and even better deal:

The other option here is the old gift card swap – you can buy a couple of $200 Nintendo eShop gift cards at $175 each over on Newegg using code BUDF79 at checkout, and then use that credit towards a Switch 2 on the Nintendo Store.

This effectively means you’re spending $350 on $400 worth of Nintendo Store credit and applying it to the console for a solid $50 in savings…or you can land the Choose Your Game Bundle at an effective price of $450 ($130 off after the price hike goes live):

  1. Score a 2x $200 Nintendo gift cards for $175 each using code BUDF79 at checkout
  2. And then head over to the Nintendo Store and apply the credit to the base console at $450 or Choose Your Game Bundle for the lowest price around right now.
