Today is the day folks – official Grand Theft Auto VI gameplay will go live at 12:00 p.m. PT/3:00 a.m. ET. Netflix has secured (likely paid a fortune) to secure exclusive streaming rights this afternoon for the Grand Theft Auto VI: Extended Look before it goes live and FREE for everyone on YouTube later this evening.
Today’s first official look at GTA VI has been a very long time coming. After roughly 13 years since the release of the last game, we will finally get to see what Rockstar has been working on over the last decade.

You can watch the Grand Theft Auto VI: Extended Look today on Netflix at 12:00 p.m. PT/3:00 a.m. ET if you’re a subscriber, before the same footage hits YouTube later this evening at 9:00 p.m. ET.
Rockstar posted on X yesterday evening saying “once Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look debuts on Netflix, creators can share their reaction content across social and video platforms.”
In other words, the footage will be live elsewhere via other streaming channels on YouTube immediately once it goes live on Netflix, whether illegally or just via your typical YouTube reaction streams and the like.
For clarification, Rockstar also added that “you are free to livestream An Extended Look from 3 p.m. ET on August 27 providing you adhere to platform-specific guidance and you do not simply restream or repost the unedited video in full without context or commentary.”
We aren’t exactly sure what we will get during today’s Extended Look, but it almost has to include actual gameplay, and likely some details on the new game systems, protagonists Jason and Lucia, and maybe even some surprises. An early leak did suggest it could run for 30 minutes, but even that is unclear a this point.
There has been a series of unfortunate gameplay leaks of the last week – don’t go looking for them, they are terrible low-res clips and we are just hours away from seeing this thing in all its glory straight from the developers. Rockstar has since issued a statement outlining how “heartbreaking” the leaks have been for the team and you can check that out right here.
Grand Theft Auto VI is coming November 19 to PlayStation 5 and XBOX Series X|S.
