Okay this is folks. After 13 years of waiting, what feels like countless delays (two if I remember correctly), and a gazillion dollars in profit on GTA Online later, Rockstar is set to take the virtual stage on Netflix of all places to finally show us Grand Theft Auto VI.
Grand Theft Auto VI: Extended Look
Rockstar inked what we can only assume is a multi-million dollar deal with Netflix, giving the streaming service a 6-hour head start to debut the worldwide premiere of Grand Theft Auto VI gameplay – no I’m not counting those horrible little low res leaked clips because they were horrible and I hate those people.
- Grand Theft Auto 6 pre-orders are now live at Amazon on PS5 and Xbox.
Based on an official Netflix post, today’s show is “entirely from in-game footage on PlayStation 5.” Whether or not that means the base PS5 or PS5 Pro is unclear, but I don’t even entirely care at this point. Usually folks are specific about this, but we are talking about Netflix here.
If it’s the base PS5, this just means Rockstar is super confident in its work here and provide us with a base expectation of the game. If it’s PS5 Pro, then great.
Based on the Netflix app, today’s Grand Theft Auto VI gameplay showcase is 26 minutes long. That falls in line with previous expectations/leaks, and might mean there will be a little 4 minute warm up ahead of time (or not).
Either way, we are officially heading to the neon-soaked streets of Vice City for the first time the way Rockstar meant us to…so let’s go!!
