While the leaks and rumors regarding upcoming Nintendo plans have slowed to some degree compared to last year’s Switch 2 launch cycle, there have been some seriously exciting tidbits floating around as of late. Not the least of which, some fairly high-profile Nintendo Insiders have already claimed we are in for a complete remake of one of the most celebrated Nintendo titles of all-time: The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time. And now it looks as though there’s good reason to believe there will also be a special edition Zelda Ocarina of Time Switch 2 Console. 

Square Enix unleashed the Final Fantasy VII remake Intergrade for Nintendo Switch 2 earlier this year and if you’re still looking to add it to your library, Walmart is offering it down at $29.99 shipped right now. This one carries a regular price at $40 and is now 25% off to match the lowest price we have tracked since release. We have seen this deal off and on at Amazon over the last few weeks, but it has jumped back up to $40 at the time of writing (it might drop back to $30 at any point by the looks of it). For those unfamiliar, the FF VII remake Intergrade retells the “original story up to the escape from Midgar, with breathtaking visuals, fast-paced gameplay, and additional story elements.” The Switch 2 edition includes the INTERmission Yuffie side story expansion as well. 

There have been some notable releases for Switch 2 thus far, but nothing overly remarkable at this point. We have had some notable first-party releases with the new Mario Tennis game and the Super Mario Bros. Wonder expansion, not to mention the surprisingly well-received Pokémon Pokopia. But Nintendo is going to need some heavy hitters to keep the hype rolling this year – will we finally get a new 3D Mario experience? Doesn’t sound like it at this point, but rumor has it a massive Zelda remake is inbound alongside a new Star Fox game and much sooner than later at that.

Love Hultén is, in many ways, a one of kind designer and instrument creator. We have featured this stuff around here many a times in the past, but the epic new NES-SY2.0 has to be one of the more interesting and nostalgia-fueled new releases from Hultén in a minute.

Shipping is free for Prime members but you’ll get hit with a $6 delivery fee otherwise. This one carries a regular price at $65 and is currently fetching as much at Amazon. If you already have the Switch edition you can just grab the upgrade pack on the eShop for $4.99, but if not this is the complete Switch 2 edition with “enhanced resolution, mouse control support for faster and easier decorating, a megaphone for calling your animal residents that uses the system microphone, and more.”

Xbox has now officially announced its massive summer showcase. Every year, typically in June, Xbox hosts its massive summer games showcase and it is now set it stone alongside a dedicated Gears of War: E-Day Direct.

It’s not over yet folks. Not that anyone really thought it was, but prices on PlayStation hardware are going up…again. Sony has now officially announced price hikes on PS5, PS5 Pro, and PlayStation Portal remote player. 

Earlier this week Xbox announced its next Partner Showcase, and today is the day. Set to go live at 1 p.m. ET, Xbox is ready to put some of its prime time partner developers in the limelight to give us in-depth looks at upcoming releases, but it also has some surprises in store by the sounds of it. 

Alongside the Amazon Big Spring Sale deals, Sony has also launched gigantic Spring PS5 game sale of its own. Now live on the PlayStation Store, the PlayStation Spring Sale is now in full swing with deals on “a vast range of games that include iconic blockbusters, acclaimed classics, and more.” We are talking about up to 75% off here from now through April 22 and when Sony says vast, it means it. Ther are over 5,400 games and DLC add-ons racing from Astro Bot and EA sports titles through to Arc Raiders, Avowed, Elden Ring, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and far too many t run through right here. Nintendo is continuing to update its popular Switch 2 GameCube library and now that we have moved into 2026 it’s time to take an updated look at the lineup. 

We are taking quick break from the now live Amazon 2026 Big Spring Sale to discuss some Switch news. In a world rife with tariffs, or at least the aftermath of them, and with the cost of gaming skyrocketing in recent years, Nintendo might have just announced that is bringing the cost of new Switch 2 games down…sort of. 

The Pokémon Company and Nintendo have now officially announced the release date for the upcoming Pokémon Champions Releases on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 alongside a brand new overview trailer. 

Just after some details on the next-generation Xbox console surfaced at GDC, Microsoft has now announced the next installment of its Xbox Partner Preview. 

Nintendo just released Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness for the Switch 2 GameCube library. We have known it was coming ever since Nintendo first launched the GameCube Nintendo Classics library alongside the Switch 2, and it confirmed it was releasing very soon during the 2026 Pokémon Day festivities, but it has finally arrived. 

Nintendo just recently issued firmware update for Nintendo Switch 2 and, among a series of mostly unexciting, albeit welcomed, updates, there is one particularly notable enhancement here with the new “Handheld Mode Boost.” 

While it was never the true modern PlayStation portable everyone wanted, Sony says it has steady growth on PlayStation Portal engagement and it is now ready to unleash some enhancements to the platform. 

Many of the rumors surrounding the next-generation Xbox are, at least seemingly, coming true. Microsoft and the newly appointed head of Xbox have already confirmed Project Helix is well into development and that it will indeed be able to play both Xbox and PC games. What that means exactly is still unclear, but we do have new details directly from Xbox on everything from a hint at the release window, the machine’s dual-functionality, and even some actual specs here today. 

Mario Day 2026 is fast approaching with new reveals, deals, and game announcements already warping in. Nintendo has just announced a collection of new Mario titles landing in the Nintendo Classics library, retailers are already primed with upcoming events, and we already have a hint at this year’s Mario Day Switch 2 console bundle. But there’s plenty more to come as we set to celebrate the Mushroom Kingdom and beyond on Mario Day 2026. 

Mario Day is still in full swing, but at this point in the afternoon just about all of the excitement we are going to be getting is out in the wild now. From a plethora of Switch and Switch 2 game deals and price drops on express microSD cards for your Switch 2, to the all-new LEGO Mario Kart reveal and the release date announcement for the new Yoshi game, all of the most noteworthy and exciting Mario Day 2026 festivities await below.

While it might not exactly be a new Mario game, Yoshi and the Mysterious Book was reaveled as part of the initial Mario 40th anniversary and we are getting a new gameplay overview trailer today alongside the official release date.

Mario Day has officially arrived and, as part of this year’s festivities, Nintendo has now officially released three new classics for Switch Online. Previously announced to kick off the 2026 Mar10 Day, the new Nintendo Classics are now playable.

Mario Day 2026 is already in full swing with up to 50% off physical Switch games and the annual eShop sale now live, not to mention these LEGO sets and a return all-time low on Samsung’s officially-licensed 256GB Switch 2 Express microSD, but it is now time for the Mario Day Direct. This year, with the theatrical release quickly approaching, Nintendo is set to host a dedicated Super Mario Galaxy Movie Direct showcase and it goes live very soon. 

Nintendo has now officially announced its Mario Day 2026 plans and the official eShop sale is already live. You’ll find loads of digital Mario and first-party Nintendo games, and then some, up for grabs right now. But the physical game deals are scheduled to hit on March 8 – that’s this upcoming Sunday – and today’s Target weekly ad preview has them on display. 

What is the next-gen Xbox going to be called? Will there even be a next-gen Xbox? Well, it looks like newly appointed Microsoft Gaming CEO Asha Sharma has now not only confirmed there will indeed be a next-generation Xbox console (I think we all assumed there would be), but also some additional details as well. 

We got an early look at the official Nintendo MAR10 Day Switch game deals already this morning, but Nintendo has now issued an official press release detailing its complete Mario Day 2026 plans. This year is in honor of the 40th anniversary of the Super Mario Bros. game and the upcoming release of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie on April 1, but there’s a whole lot more than that.
