After Donkey Kong Bananza releases next month on July 17, the summer Switch 2 release schedule is looking a bit thin if you ask me. That said, Nintendo just unleashed a new trailer for its upcoming Drag X Drive in the Nintendo Today! app officially revealing the August release date. 

Following the announcement of its new Xbox PC gaming handheld, Microsoft has now confirmed that it’s testing a new aggregated game library in the Xbox PC app for Windows 11 PCs and handheld devices. Officially confirmed via the Xbox Wire, the move is designed to improve access to game libraries – not just on traditional PCs, but more importantly on Windows-based gaming handhelds like the Lenovo Legion Go and ROG Ally. This is a welcomed move that’s expected to significantly improve the gaming experience on Microsoft’s upcoming handheld, and you can learn more about the aggregated game library below.

Nintendo Switch 2 will be back in-stock today at Best Buy. Much like it did a couple weeks ago, and right on the heels of Walmart’s re-stock announcement, Best Buy has quietly announced that Switch 2 consoles will be go live again online today.

The Amazon July Prime Day sale is just over two weeks out now, we already have the details on Target’s competitor sale, Best Buy launched its members-only event this morning, and now we know what Walmart has planned. The retailer has now officially announced its big-time July sale as the simply named Walmart Deals event is now scheduled to take flight starting on Tuesday July 8 at 12 a.m. ET. All of the details we have are awaiting down below. 

While Switch 2 consoles have been all but entirely sold out online at major retailers since launch week, Walmart has now confirmed it will have more units up for sale starting next week. Both the Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World bundle and the Switch 2 console will be live on line starting June 25, but you’ll want to head below for the exact times and some additional details. 

It it’s time to take a look at the upcoming Switch 2 game release schedule. The Switch 2 is clearly off to a wonderful start in terms of sales and Mario Kart World has (mostly) been a big hit among gamers, but despite Switch 2 delivering a more or less solid launch lineup as far as new console launches go, there still feels like something is missing for me. That said, there are some wonderful upgraded Switch 1 games to enjoy and whole host of notable titles on the horizon, both this year and next.

Mario Kart World and the rest of the Nintendo Switch 2 launch games are out in the wild now, but the next major release on Nintendo’s schedule is Donkey Kong Bananza. The all-new 3D DK game has a ton of Super Odyssey vibes, and we have already had a decent look at the game, but there is still more Nintendo wants to show us before its release on Switch 2 come July 17. And today’s dedicated Donkey Kong Bananza Nintendo Direct presentation starts soon. 

Update 6/20: Target has now informed us its Prime Day competitor sale will actually start on July 6 and run through until July 12.

As we reported previously, Amazon is once again winding up to unleash its first Prime Day event of the year and we now have official confirmation it will kick off the four-day sale event on July 8. This also traditionally indicates some major sales from the competition, including the likes of Best Buy and Walmart, but according to our sources, the next Target Circle Week is getting ready to take on the Prime Day event on July 13 July 6.

Nintendo has now officially announced a dedicated Donkey Kong Bananza Direct showcase scheduled for later this week. Today, Bose is unveiling the next-generation of its flagship wireless earbuds with the new QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (2nd Gen). Best Buy has now officially confirmed it will have limited Nintendo Switch 2 inventory online today. In a surprise move, and after skipping out on online orders for launch week, Best Buy has sent out an email specifically stating that it will have more Switch 2 console units in-stock today (June 11).

Alongside the long list of games announced during its first Xbox Developer Direct showcase of 2025, Microsoft officially announced its rumored Xbox gaming handheld. The brand has partnered with ASUS to announce them as ROG Xbox Ally handheld, and these will be available to purchase later this year during the holidays. Microsoft has announced two new handhelds – the ROG Xbox Ally and the ROG Xbox Ally X. Summer Game Fest 2025 is set to take the stage today for lengthy live stream directly from YouTube Theater in California. The fifth annual gaming showcase has quickly become one of, if not, the biggest event of the gaming calendar (save for the Switch 2 bonanza this year of course), and it is once again set to debut hours worth of game reveals, world premieres, updates, and much more. 

I was lucky enough to get my hands on the new Switch 2 this week, and while the setup process was relatively easy, I had a bunch of unanswered questions. The questions centered mostly around game transfers, what Virtual games are, and what happens to my old Switch that I still want to keep and hand it down to a child. After doing some research, I got all my questions answered, and the solution is, well, not the best. Here is what you should know.

Years in the making, and years of waiting, it has finally happened and the next-generation of Nintendo gaming is now out in the wild. One of the biggest sleepers of the whole Switch 2 launch has to be the new Pro Controller. I have been blown away by the material, build quality, size, and sound dampening, especially. At first I thought that $85 was a bit steep for a controller, but after using it for a day, I now see that it might be the best value in console controllers.

Switch 2 finally released early this morning at midnight, and while the fresh online re-stock at retailers like Walmart, GameStop, and Costco was limited at best, not all is lost. There are additional Switch consoles scheduled to go live starting as early as later tonight and we are once again here to make sure you get a shot at them. 

Hopefully, if you were on the lookout for a new Switch 2, you could get one during the launch day festivities! If you’ve ever used the Nintendo eShop on a Switch, then you know what torture feels like. That’s an exaggeration, obviously, but the painful process of doing, well, anything in the eShop is tedious, slow, and annoying. Update 6/4: HORI’s officially-licensed Nintendo Switch 2 Piranha Plant Camera is now back in-stock at Walmart.

The all-new Nintendo Switch 2 Camera is cool and all. It has some sweet tracking features, appears to seamlessly integrate into a number of Switch 2 exclusive games, and we had a blast testing it out in person yesterday alongside Switch 2. But it’s not a Piranha Plant, and it can’t close its mouth like this official-licensed HORI Switch 2 cam that recently surfaced online. 

Today, during the PlayStation of Play, Sony officially revealed Project Defiant, the “the first wireless fight stick designed by Sony Interactive Entertainment for PS5 and PC.” Scope out the details down below.
