Nintendo is continuing to update its popular Switch 2 GameCube library and now that we have moved into 2026 it’s time to take an updated look at the lineup.

The Pokémon Company and Nintendo have now officially announced the release date for the upcoming Pokémon Champions Releases on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 alongside a brand new overview trailer. 

Nintendo just released Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness for the Switch 2 GameCube library. We have known it was coming ever since Nintendo first launched the GameCube Nintendo Classics library alongside the Switch 2, and it confirmed it was releasing very soon during the 2026 Pokémon Day festivities, but it has finally arrived.

We just got our next good look at The Super Mario Galaxy Movie in this morning’s Direct – including a first look at Yoshi! – but we are also now seeing pre-orders live on Amazon for Nintendo’s new Talking Flower. 

Happy Mario Day, LEGO Super Mario minifigs have been officially announced! Just when you thought the Mario reveals were done for the day, Nintendo and LEGO have just released a new teaser video on social announcing all-new Super Mario minifigs and sets. 

Mario Day 2026 is fast approaching with new reveals, deals, and game announcements already warping in. Nintendo has just announced a collection of new Mario titles landing in the Nintendo Classics library, retailers are already primed with upcoming events, and we already have a hint at this year’s Mario Day Switch 2 console bundle. But there’s plenty more to come as we set to celebrate the Mushroom Kingdom and beyond on Mario Day 2026. 

Mario Day is still in full swing, but at this point in the afternoon just about all of the excitement we are going to be getting is out in the wild now. Mario Day has officially arrived and, as part of this year’s festivities, Nintendo has now officially released three new classics for Switch Online. Previously announced to kick off the 2026 Mar10 Day, the new Nintendo Classics are now playable.

Mario Day 2026 is already in full swing with up to 50% off physical Switch games and the annual eShop sale now live, not to mention these LEGO sets and a return all-time low on Samsung’s officially-licensed 256GB Switch 2 Express microSD, but it is now time for the Mario Day Direct. This year, with the theatrical release quickly approaching, Nintendo is set to host a dedicated Super Mario Galaxy Movie Direct showcase and it goes live very soon. 

Last week Nintendo announced a surprise Nintendo Direct for Mario Day. It is perhaps not the main Direct you were hoping for with a new Mario game for Switch 2 or something, but instead a dedicated Super Mario Galaxy Movie Direct showcase that is set to deliver our final good look at the new film ahead of release. 

Nintendo has now officially announced its Mario Day 2026 plans and the official eShop sale is already live. You’ll find loads of digital Mario and first-party Nintendo games, and then some, up for grabs right now. But the physical game deals are scheduled to hit on March 8 – that’s this upcoming Sunday – and today’s Target weekly ad preview has them on display. 

Nobody likes tariffs (almost nobody anyway), and neither does Nintendo. According to reports flooding the interwebs today, Nintendo has filed a lawsuit against the U.S. government to get back some of those golden coins it lost when tariffs initially went in place ahead of the Switch 2 launch. 

The Mario 2026 festivities are in full swing already, with game sales already live on the eShop, Amazon, and at Best Buy. And with this year’s celebration landing in honor of the 40th anniversary of the Super Mario Bros. game and the upcoming release of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, Nintendo has announced the next Nintendo Direct dedicated to Mario’s upcoming big screen adventure. 

We got an early look at the official Nintendo MAR10 Day Switch game deals already this morning, but Nintendo has now issued an official press release detailing its complete Mario Day 2026 plans. This year is in honor of the 40th anniversary of the Super Mario Bros. game and the upcoming release of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie on April 1, but there’s a whole lot more than that. This is it folks, we are less than 24 hours out from the big-time 30th anniversary Pokémon Day celebrations. We have already had some exciting announcements, product reveals, and more ahead of the official date, so let the countdown begin!

Pokémon Day 2026 is tomorrow, and with this year being a major 30th anniversary milestone for the pocket monster franchise, the reveals, new products, and announcements have already begun. Alongside the Walmart Pokémon Week event, the new Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen for Switch and Switch 2, coming LEGO sets, and more, eBay has also announced a special 30/30 Collection event that will, apparently, be showcasing and auctioning off some of the most sought-after and iconic pocket monster collectibles at the “original retail price.” 

Pokémon Day is tomorrow folks, and it’s already set to be a big one!
