Amazon’s new Retro Zone store has all the vintage gaming deals and gifts you need

We’ve seen a number of trends emerge in 2017, but perhaps no niche has enjoyed as much love as retro gaming. The release of Nintendo’s SNES Classic console sparked the vintage vibes throughout the year, and retailers have taken notice.

Amazon just opened its Retro Zone store that is your one-stop shop for games, accessories, action figures, fashion and more. It’s “all retro, all the time” and Amazon has curated a selection of gear you’ll want to see before your Christmas lists are made. Head below for our top picks.

Amazon’s Android app store delivers the retro games with a mix of free and premium titles. You’ll find a selection that includes Sonic the Hedgehog, PacMan, DuckTales and many more. There aren’t titles on sale per say, but if you’re an Android fan, you might find some new entertainment here for the holidays.

My eyes are turned towards the retro gaming consoles and games, which includes a sweet selection of mini-arcades that would make for an awesome stocking-stuffer this holiday season. I’m personally going to check out the $14 Pac-Man Mini Arcade Game, which is a near exact replica of the popular 80’s standalone machines. It has full-on joystick control and two gameplay modes along with authentic graphics and sounds. Basically, you can take this mini arcade with you anywhere and be the coolest kid in the room. Amazon’s Retro Gaming Store has a handful of other options including Space Invaders.

Retro gaming enthusiasts are also sure to love the clothing section, which features a bunch of awesome throwback t-shirts. I like the Nintendo Keep It Classic tee, which comes in six different colors depending on your preferences. Another cool option is Ripple Junction’s Atari Pong shirt, which has two different shades available.

If you’re after a different type of gift this year, Amazon has a curated retro book section with a mix of coffee table sizes and collector’s editions. We already told you about the Legend of Zelda Deluxe Edition that’s coming out in April, but if you need an idea beforehand I’d recommend Artcade. This hardcover book details classic arcade game artwork from over 30 years worth of titles. It has over 300-pages of high resolution images that are sure to bring back the retro vibes.

Swing by Amazon’s Retro Zone storefront for more deals and offers. You can even enter to win one of five SNES Classic consoles in the coming days, too.
