That’s about 45% below the original listing, the lowest Amazon has ever offered it for and the best price we can find. While we did see it drop to $9.99 plus $2.99 shipping at Newegg once, it was a fairly limited deal over the holidays. Reviews are split at 3.3/5, but more than 50% of reviewers left a 4+ star rating.

Steam has kicked off its Independent Games Festival sale featuring a number of stellar Mac/PC titles at up to 80% off. (Update 2/28 4:50pm): Trusted games dealer Neogames via eBay Daily Deals is offering 1 year PlayStation Plus memberships for $43.99 shipped. That’s $16 under the regular price and the current lowest total on a12 month subscription (about $3.60 per month).
Sony has just kicked off a special PlayStation Plus membership promotion. If you choose to purchase a new 12-month subscription or renew your existing sub, Sony will throw in an extra 3 months of Plus membership and Showtime via PlayStation Vue (a total “value of $111.95”). The catch is you have to purchase the Plus membership through Sony at full price ($59.99) and Showtime is only available to “new Showtime subscribers via Playstation Vue”.
While on a monthly basis that might be slightly more expensive than some of the offers we see on 12-month PS Plus memberships, those deals are quite rare these days. For some (including me), just knowing you won’t have to worry about the renewal process for another 15 months it is worth it, not to mention the added value of the Showtime sub. If you’re looking to get the lowest possible price on your PS Plus subscription, you might want to hold off on this one until a 3rd party retailer offers them for less.
Ahead of the release of Project Scorpio, “the most powerful console” the Xbox family has ever seen, Microsoft is launching a new subscription service. Xbox Game Pass is coming later this Spring and will offer full access to over 100 Xbox One and backwards compatible 360 titles for $9.99 a month.
You can expect a “professional-quality” stainless steel blade, the included blade guards seen in the image above, and ergonomic handles. More features:
This deal is available for both new customers and existing subscribers looking to renew at a discount.
As usual, there is no auto-renewals, no shipping fees and absolutely no sales tax. Great for gifts or sending subscriptions to the office, all of the mags in your cart can be sent to a separate address with a personalized gift note.
(Update 2/28 6:00pm): Nintendo has now confirmed a massive list of Indie titles for Switch with the new Nindies Showcase video. You’ll find everything down below (scroll all the way down to the bottom of this post):
We this is it folks, the release of Nintendo Switch is just over a week away. While the launch lineup may not be as crowded as some of us may have hoped for, The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild is hitting day one, and that’s about as good as it gets. But we are also getting some nice indies on day one and Nintendo looks to be tapping third parties more than ever before if the rest of the titles we have heard about are any indication. From a new FIFA, NBA 2K and the Switch version of Skyrim, along with first parties like Mario Kart Deluxe 8, Arms, Super Mario Odyssey and Splatoon 2, it looks as though things can only get better from here.
As any avid 9to5Toys reader would know, Nintendo games don’t go on sale very often (even after being out for years) until they finally land in the Selects program. And even when they do go on sale it is rarely much of a price drop. This is where early pre-order discounts (20% off), can be really advantageous. Down below you’ll find an itemized list of the best titles releasing for Switch this year including all the launch titles playable on March 3rd, the best deals on pre-order titles (you certainly want to make sure your copy of Breath of the Wild is ready to play on day one), and even more:
This week we have teamed up with DiscountMags to offer 9to5Toys readers another amazing exclusive bundle offer. We are getting some of the most popular titles for as much $3/yr less than our usual sale prices here: Expand Expanding Close
Both Sony and Microsoft have launched official price drops or bundle sales on console recently and we are starting to see some fantastic deals for anyone looking for a new machine. First up, the official Newegg eBay Store is offering the Xbox One S 500GB Minecraft Favorites Console Bundle for $199.99 shipped. That’s $100 off the regular price and the best we can find. Anytime (which is extremely rare) you can grab a brand new Xbox One S for under $200, you probably should.
This version comes with 384 pages of everything we detailed in the other two including annotated maps, posters, information regarding collectibles and a complete guide to the items and monsters found in the game. But the Deluxe Edition will also feature that amazing 11-inch x 15-inch premium vintage hardcover, “exclusive dedicated 16-page retrospective celebrating thirty years of Zelda games, a 16-page dedicated art section, and two ribbon bookmarks.” More details below.
While the Paperback and Collector’s Edition Guides are now reasonably priced at $15.33 and $23.99, the Deluxe version is going to cost you. Pre-orders with a March 31st launch date are now selling for $79.99 shipped on Amazon, but there is a good chance we will see the price drop over the next couple weeks or so.
We have a nice batch of 2K iOS deals today including Sid Meier’s Starships, Civilization Revolution 2 and XCOM Enemy Within. Civ Rev 2 and XCOM are matching the all-time lows, while Sid Meier’s Starships is now being listed at the lowest we have ever tracked on the App Store. We also still have NBA 2K17 at the best price we have seen this year still live from a couple days ago:
While it may be difficult to think about anything in the gaming world outside of next month’s release of Nintendo Switch and Zelda Breath of the Wild, there are actually some amazing games releasing this month. With Nioh’s Dark Souls-inspired combat, For Honor’s Vikings vs. Samurai vs. Knights (enough said) and giant robotic T-Rex battles in the mysterious and wonderful Horizon Zero Dawn, its going to be a busy few weeks for gamers.

Apple has now officially chosen Green Riding Hood as the App Store’s new Free App of the Week. The gorgeous interactive story book is usually listed at $2.99 and this is the very first time we have ever seen it go free. Along with its cast of characters and impressive visuals, Green Riding Hood packs in some mini-games for kids and more. More details below:
One of the few downfalls of Nintendo glorious NES Classic Edition is the annoyingly short controller cables. But don’t worry, you can grab a pair of 6-foot Keten NES Classic Controller Extension Cords for $9.37 using code EAPM87N9 at checkout. This deal comes courtesy of Keten Direct (94% positive in the last 12 months from 1,043 ratings) via Amazon and ships free for Prime members or in orders over $49. That’s about $5 under the going rate and the best we have seen. Rated 4+ stars from over 25 Amazon customers. More details below.
Crash is back! Well, not completely. We now know the remastered Crash Bandicoot collection will be releasing on PS4/Pro this summer, Activision announced today.
We are getting new lighting, animations, enhancements to the intro cinematic and support for 4K via PS4 Pro. Developer Vicarious Visions has also added new checkpoints, an upgraded save system, improved bonus stages and updated audio across the board.
While the price does seem a bit steep, anyone with fond memories of early 3D platformers is in for a treat here. Even if the visuals didn’t look as good as they do in the announcement trailer below, I’d still be pretty stoked for this:
The TwelveSouth ParcSlope is an elegant way to prop up your MacBook or iPad with ease. This hybrid stand is designed to offer additional screen height while maintaining a comfortable position/angle for typing and accessing your device. It can also act as a great drawing easel for your iPad Pro with just enough space to hold your Apple Pencil/stylus.
We have more discounted gift cards today along with some notable offers still available including Lowe’s AMC Theaters, CVS and more. But first, we have a nice offer on some free Best Buy money:
Breath of the Wild is primed to set a new standard for Zelda titles with its massive open world, but Link’s latest adventure will also be treading new ground for the series in other ways as well. For the first time, Nintendo will be launching expansion packs and a season pass for a main Zelda title.
There will be two packs of additional content for the game launching throughout 2017 and you’ll need to buy the “Expansion Pass” to get them. The first bundle will include a “Cave of Trials challenge” similar to what we saw in Twilight Princess, a new hard mode and a “new feature for the in-game map.” The second bundle will be the more substantial of the two with a “new dungeon and a new original story.” This sucker will launch holiday 2017 after most of us have already gotten through the main story.
You can’t purchase these bundles separately at this point, you have to purchase the Expansion Pass, which will be available for both the Nintendo Switch and Wii U versions of the game for $19.99. Anyone who purchases or pre-purchases the Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild Expansion Pass will get “three new treasure chests” that will appearin the Great Plateau area of the in-game map. One contains a silly Nintendo Switch shirt Link can wear throughout his adventure and the other two “deliver useful items”.
As exciting as it is to think there will be more content added to Breath of the Wild later this year, it does seem a bit weird Nintendo is charging for a hard mode and a Cave of Trials. Nonetheless, I for one will be very excited to get a completely new story come holiday 2017.
Nintendo Switch + Zelda Breath of the Wild, Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, more [Videos]
Starting when The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild launches on March 3, players will be able to purchase an Expansion Pass for $19.99, granting access to two new sets of downloadable content for the game when they become available later this year.
Immediately upon pre-purchase or purchase of the Expansion Pass, three new treasure chests will appear in the game’s Great Plateau area. One of these treasure chests will contain a shirt with a Nintendo Switch logo that Link can wear during his adventure, exclusive to the Expansion Pass. The other two will deliver useful items.
The first content pack is scheduled to launch this summer and will include the addition of a Cave of Trials challenge, a new hard mode, and a new feature for the in-game map.
The second content pack will launch in Holiday 2017, and adds new challenges that will let players enjoy a new dungeon and a new original story.
The Expansion Pass will be available for both the Nintendo Switch and Wii U versions of the game and are identical. Content packs cannot be purchased individually.
