Walmart has now officially confirmed with 9to5Toys that it will be offering Nintendo Switch 2 consoles both online and in-store this week. We very much expected Walmart to get in on the action, but it was all speculation up until now.

In our continued countdown to the launch of Switch 2 later this week, we are issuing another quick PSA based on details from the official user manual. That screen protector on the Switch 2 when you open the box isn’t a screen protector at all, and Nintendo is warning users to never remove it.

Good morning and welcome to Best of 9to5Toys Weekly – a one-stop shop for all of the week’s best deals on Apple gear, Samsung and Android tech, accessories for smartphones and Macs, intelligent household upgrades, and even deals to update your wardrobe. While yesterday’s massive deal on high-end 16-inch 48GB model at over $460 off has jumped back up price, the far more affordable M4 Pro MacBook Pro with the 16GB of RAM and the 512GB SSD has now dropped to particularly notable $1,688.77 shipped in Space Black – that’s a big-time $310 in savings.

While we know Best Buy, GameStop, and (likely) Walmart will all be participating in the Nintendo Switch 2 launch next week, Target is perhaps going to be your best bet for scoring one online. We know the national retailer will be hosting a launch day celebration at its brick and mortar locations with a chance to actually buy a Switch 2 console, followed by availability online the next day, but it has now issued an official press release with additional details and what time you’ll need to be ready to land a Switch 2.

Update 5/30: While they were already available for pre-order back in April, Arc is officially launching the new Arc Pulse Samsung S25 Ultra bumper cases today. They are now scheduled to begin shipping now.

Before you too riled up, not all orders are being cancelled here. The one week countdown to the release of Nintendo Switch 2 is officially on. After years of waiting, and a countless number of rumors and leaks, the Switch 2 release is finally upon us and, while we would have liked to start our countdown off on a happy note, we thought it more pertinent to launch this PSA – loads of folks who thought they secured a Switch 2 pre-order last month are starting to see pre-orders getting cancelled.

The new Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 bundles are actually already live at Walmart right now ahead of the May 28 start time, with as much as $120 in savings – this includes the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition and the Disc Edition both with an included copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. These are easily some of the best values we have seen in PS5 console hardware in quite some time alongside the Astro Bot bundles that are now out of stock.

As we reported previously, Best Buy has already officially confirmed with 9to5Toys regarding details on more Switch 2 console stock coming available on launch day as part of its midnight release event. Sony has now officially announced its massive summer PlayStation sale. This isn’t just a big-time digital game sale on the PlayStation Store, this is the annual Days of Play event that often times include the biggest deals of the summer on “PlayStation hardware, physical games, accessories, and more.”

We already featured a notable price drop on the upgraded 15-inch 24GB M4 MacBook Air for Memorial Day weekend (it dropped a touch lower this morning), but Amazon has now dropped the most affordable 13-inch 16GB model back down to $849.99 shipped by way of a series of on-page coupon.

Joining some ongoing $100 and $200 price drops on the more affordable storage configurations of Apple’s latest M4 iPad Pro, the higher-end configs have now dropped even lower to deliver some notable deals at Amazon. The first models that caught our eye were the 1TB and 2TB 11-inch M4 iPad Pro – you’re looking at up to $300 in savings off the list prices.

While we are still tracking some $100 price drops and all-time lows on the latest Apple M3 iPad Air lineup, we just spotted a particularly notable clearance price on the still perfectly capable M2 iPad Air. Now at the best price we have ever tracked on Amazon, you’ll find the 512GB 11-inch M2 iPad Air with the Wi-Fi + Cell upgrade down at $699 shipped – that’s a wild price on a tablet that carried a $1,049 list price not more than 3 months ago.

While Best Buy, Target, and GameStop have all now confirmed more Switch 2 units will be in-stock for launch day (and potentially online the following day on June 6), Nintendo is going to offer its new console and accessories directly too. It has announced that its two flagship stores in New York City and the recently launched location in San Francisco will also be selling Nintendo Switch 2 hardware, software and accessories, and not just on launch day.

Today Twelve South is debuting its all-new PowerCord – an elegant “all-in-one power solution delivering sleek design and built-in charging. Twelve South has long been among our favorite Apple and tech accessory makers, and today is introducing a simple and to-the point new charging product known as PowerCord.

Early this year at CES 2025 Satechi unveiled its new OntheGo travel chargers, complete with a fold out design and 15W Qi2 MagSafe charging. The form and function isn’t particularly unique, but Satechi is one of the best in the game when it comes to Apple gear accessories, and now that the new OntheGo is up for purchase to all, we wanted to give them a go for ourselves.

Target is now expected to have more Switch 2 stock up for grabs in the coming weeks. Now just over 2 weeks away from the official June 5 launch date, a reliable source is calming that Target will indeed have units available soon for folks who didn’t manage to land a pre-order last month.

SANDMARC is a wonderful iPhone and Apple gear accessory brand that truly excels in the filmography space. Its iPhone cases and Apple Watch bands are seriously gorgeous but it also makes some of the best and easiest to use iPhone lens filters – I love the Telephoto Zoom model I reviewed previously, and today it is introducing one of the more unique and creative models we have seen from the brand to date – the Star Filter. Head below for more details and an exclusive discount.

Marshall is a brand best known these days for its vintage-style Bluetooth speakers and, perhaps to a lesser degree, its lineup of headphones and earbuds. And while it has been and remains a premiere brand in the guitar amplifier and live music space, today it is entering an all-new audio category for the very first time with its brand new Heston 120 soundbar.

While Switch 2 is still just over three weeks out from launch, a new report suggests Samsung has already been pushing to get an OLED display on the new console. While Nintendo decided to launch and debut the Switch 2 with an upgraded LCD display, its main electronics manufacturing partner already has its eye on the Switch 2 OLED launch.

While there does appear to be some folks still receiving emails directly from Nintendo to pre-order Switch 2, but looks like the next notable chance to land one is going tor launch day, and another major retailers has confirmed it will have more units up for grabs.

Sony is reportedly hard at work on a new PlayStation handheld console to take on Nintendo Switch 2 and the rest of the portable PC gaming space. The latest details are pointing at a proper PlayStation handheld this time around, not just a sort of companion streaming device for your home console like the PlayStation Portal Player.

As we detailed previously, not only are there new Switch 2 Edition games, Switch 2 exclusives, and Switch 1 games you can play on your next-gen Nintendo console, but there are also a series of first-party Switch games getting FREE updates for Switch 2. This we already knew, but at the time Nintendo was incredibly vague about what these updates actually were, and now we have official details.

Nintendo’s Switch 2 launch game lineup features more than a few major AAA ports of already released titles, and it sounds like the open-world wild west epic Red Dead Redemption 2 might soon be one of them. Developer Rockstar has been supporting the Switch for years and is already on record stating its “long-standing relationship with Nintendo,” but the latest suggests RDR2 might be its first launch on Switch 2.

Update: Amazon now has all three colors of the Galaxy Watch FE down at $149.99 shipped. Details below on the original post.

We are now tracking the best Amazon price of the year on the silver Samsung Galaxy Watch FE at $149.99 shipped. Regularly $200, this is $3 under our previous mention, $50 below the list price, and the best we can find. Today’s deal is also on par with the max $50 trade-in savings Samsung is offering right now and $10 under the $40 cash discount you’ll find there.

This afternoon’s best Android game and app deals are now ready to roll on the heels of Sony finally launching the brand new and highly-anticipated XM6 headphones. We also have deals on ecobee’s HomeKit and Google Home Smart Video Doorbell Cam and Ring’s flagship Battery Doorbell Pro as well as a $200 price drop on Galaxy Tab S10+ and this already affordable ASUS 2024 Chromebook CX1, but for now it’s on to the apps. You’ll find everything waiting for you down below.

Sony has now officially unveiled the new WH-1000XM6 headphones. What might be the most anticipated pair of headphones in the last year has finally arrived as a follow up to some of the most cherished over-ear ANC cans in the business. This time around featuring a new, faster processor, enhanced noise cancellation, even better call quality with upgraded AI noise reduction, and a nicer, more compact design, the question is whether or not all of this and another jump in price will have fans trading out their beloved XM5s (or something from the other brands) for the new XM6.

Today we are taking a look at what some might consider a more affordable Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller alternative, the HORIPAD Turbo for Nintendo Switch 2. While I was a fan of the original Nintendo Switch Pro Controller and our early hands-on impressions of the latest model are favorable, it is in many ways just a regular controller for Switch 2, an official one sure, but for the most part just your average gamepad that delivers a more traditional feel, and one that will cost you $85 to pre-order.

NBC Universal might have just accidentally confirmed the name of the upcoming Mario movie sequel as part of its 100th anniversary celebrations. The Super Mario Bros. movie took the gaming world and the silver screen by storm back in 2023, and we might have a better idea of what Shigeru Miyamoto meant when he said the team was “thinking about broadening Mario’s world further” for the sequel.

There’s no telling how long this one might last folks, so if you’re soon-to-be a Switch 2 owner and a Nintendo switch Online member, you might want to go secure the new wireless Nintendo GameCube Controller now that pre-orders are now live directly from Nintendo.

Yesterday we spotted the official Best Buy Switch 2 landing page specifically mentioning more console stock was inbound for launch day. Best Buy then quickly removed this mention altogether leaving most folks confused as to whether or not this was some kind of mistake or if it realized it wasn’t going to have any more units come next month. Best Buy has now official reached out to us to confirm more units are coming. Details below.

Today ECOVACS is officially launching its new T80 OMNI and the DEEBOT X9 PRO OMNI we have had a chance to test out for a few days now. Featuring “industry-first technology,” the company says they provide “next-level hygiene, performance, and convenience to more households than ever before” alongside some notable $300 launch deals starting today.

Samsung has now unleashed its all new Galaxy S25 Edge, the thinnest Galaxy device it has ever released , and we have already detailed the very best pre-order deals right here. But, much like we saw with the S25/Ultra launch earlier this year, there are also some serious savings potential when it comes to bundled. Not only do our links load up your cart with a FREE $50 Samsung credit to use towards accessories and the like, but Samsung is also offering some serious bundle offers here – you can score the deep pre-order deals on the Edge and land a pair of Galaxy Buds 3 Pro at $140 off.
