Joining today’s reveal of the upcoming Sonic LEGO sets, Nintendo has now added some new titles to its SEGA Switch Online library. While Nintendo has been most recently focused on delivering some new titles to its Game Boy and Game Boy Advanced libraries with games like Kirby’s Dream Land 2 and BurgerTime Deluxe alongside Side Pocket for SNES, this time it is reaching into the Capcom library to expand its SEGA offerings alongside some classic platformers and more arcade-style titles. As promised by Nintendo yesterday, we are just hours away from our next look at The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. As per an official tweet yesterday morning, Nintendo has scheduled what appears to be the final pre-launch look at the game as part of what it is calling the “Third Trailer Livestream.” Now, just under one month out from the official release of what many would consider to be the most anticipated Nintendo Switch title of all-time, this might very well be our last chance to gleam any details from the experience ahead of launch. Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Switch console pre-orders will begin soon. Not to take anything away from the particular amazing looking Fuse system and crafting Nintendo highlighted in this morning’s gameplay video, but the new Zelda Tears of the Kingdom OLED Switch was easily one of the highlights of today’s official Nintendo presentation. While the price isn’t exactly anything to write home about, it’s not all that much more than the standard OLED model console (unless you buy it on sale anyway) and comes covered in a gorgeous Tears of the Kingdom-inspired paint job with golden Joy-Con. New Zelda Tears of the Kingdom gameplay is now officially on the way. Cutting it about as close as you could imagine, Nintendo has finally announced the long-awaited and expected Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Nintendo Direct! The game is, as of right now, still expected to release on May 12, 2023 and Nintendo has now finally announced we will be getting a solid chunk of new gameplay tomorrow morning. Just ahead of Mario Day 2023, Nintendo has announced Metroid Fusion will be the first addition to the new Game Boy Advanced Nintendo Switch Online library. As part of the first Nintendo Direct showcase of the year – there’s another one hitting next week just for the upcoming Super Mario Bros. movie – Nintendo dished up the latest footage on the highly-anticipated Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom (here’s how to score a deal on your pre-order), but it also announced the long-awaited arrival of Game Boy titles to its online library. And now, not even a month later, the first new title to hit the collection has been announced as Metroid Fusion is slated to land on March 9, 2023. Head below for more details. 

Game Boy Switch Online games are now officially a thing. As part of today’s exciting Nintendo Direct presentation, where we got a brand new trailer for The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, Nintendo officially added Game Boy and Game Boy Advanced titles to its Switch Online library. While much of the collection is already available now, some of it is also locked behind the Expansion pack membership. Head below for more details and the games now live on the service.

Rumors have been surfacing all over the net about the next Nintendo Direct and details have now officially been confirmed! Most supposed leaks pointed at the next Nintendo Direct hitting sometime this week and we now officially know it is. Nintendo has taken to its official Twitter feed to announce its next online Switch game showcase and we are now just over 24 hours away. Head below for more details. 

Update: Nintendo and animation studio Illumination have now released a new Super Mario Bros. Plumbing Commercial, to promote the upcoming Super Mario Bros. movie. I don’t know about you, but I’m starting to get even more excited for the new Super Mario Bros. movie set to hit the silver screen this April. The movie is set to tell what appears to be an origin story of sorts for the titular plumbers while giving longtime fans a heavy dose of nostalgia and touching on several of Mario’s adventures over the years – Mario Kart, Odyssey, elements of Mario Galaxy, and much more. Last we heard from the film was the brief snippet that debuted during The Game Awards in December, but a new brief trailer has now been released. Head below for a closer look and more details.

The original SEGA version of Earthworm Jim has landed on Nintendo Switch Online. Nintendo took to its official Twitter feed recently to unveil the latest additions to its Switch Online SEGA Genesis lineup – the new SEGA Genesis Mini 2 console is still available for pre-order – headlined by the original Earthworm Jim game alongside ALISIA DRAGOON and action RPG Beyond Oasis. All three are now available to Expansion Pack subscribers, and you can get more details below.
