Every once in a while, the official online Nintendo Store offers some great refurbished deals on its hardware and software. Many times the rarely discounted games and consoles drop down to some of the lowest price we ever see, and today is no exception:
Right now, you can pickup a manufacturer refurbished Nintendo 2DS with multiple color options (Crimson Red, Electric Blue, Crystal Blue and Red) for $60 plus $5 shipping. That’s half the original $130 price tag, as much as $43 under the average selling prices/Amazon, $15 under the best refurbished listings and the lowest total we can find.
At $65, this is arguably the best value we have ever seen on a mobile gaming console. It plays all of the Nintendo 3DS titles, making it one of the most inexpensive ways to get your Zelda, Donkey Kong, Mario Kart and Pokemon fix on-the-go. By comparison, you’re getting a complete Nintendo handheld console for about the same price as one of those less than stellar iOS add-on controllers, not to mention access to Nintendo’s fantastic mobile titles and e-Shop games.
Today’s deal runs from now through the 4th of July weekend only. This refurb comes with a one year warranty and according to Nintendo: “although it may have minor cosmetic blemishes, it is guaranteed to be fully functional. We think you will find the standards for Authentic Nintendo Refurbished Products are VERY high.”
For all you Prime members out there, you can get some deep discounts on 3Ds/2DS/Wii U games in Amazon’s new Prime member pricing offer, including Smash Bros, Zelda titles and the first price drop on Splatoon. You’ll find the rest of our best game/app deals in our daily roundups.
