Disney is giving out copies of Monsters Inc. to users of its free digital movie locker service

Disney Movies Anywhere is a digital movie locker that lets you stream and download previously purchased Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars titles. This service already worked with iTunes, Google Play, and VUDU, but earlier this week Disney added compatibility for Amazon Video and Microsoft Movies & TV.

Disney is celebrating this news by offering free copies of Monsters Inc, which is one of the best Pixar animated films ever released. It would cost you $20 to buy it on DVD or at least $15 to download a digital copy of it.

To get Monsters Inc. for free you’ll need to connect your Disney Movies Anywhere account to “any provider from which you have not previously been linked.” More details on the redemption process and promo are as follows:

How do I get my free movie when I connect to a participating provider?

If you are new to Disney Movies Anywhere, upon registering with Disney Movies Anywhere and connecting with any participating provider account, Monsters, Inc. will be added to your Disney Movies Anywhere Collection.

If you already have a Disney Movies Anywhere account, upon any first-time connection to a participating provider, Monsters, Inc. will be added to your Disney Movies Anywhere Collection. That is, if you’ve previously connected to a participating provider (i.e., iTunes), you will not be eligible to receive Monsters, Inc. for disconnecting and reconnecting even if you reconnect with a different iTunes account; to get Monsters, Inc., you must connect with any provider from which you have not previously been linked.

Monsters, Inc. will be the only title for this free movie offer. We will not be able to offer alternative titles.

Offer subject to expiration. Void where prohibited. For eligibility requirements, details, and terms and conditions click here.
