As you already know from our reporting, the first Prime Day event of the year, and the only one until we get into October is right around the corner now with select early deals already live right now. Set to kick off next week at 3 a.m. ET on July 8, we have already detailed how this year’s July event is going to be different than any other Prime Day sale we have seen to date, but Amazon has just officially revealed a sneak peek at some of the deals that will be up for grabs next week. 

Reports are surfacing all over the internet about what could very well be a detrimental flaw in the Nintendo Switch 2 design with regards to overheating issues. Yesterday we detailed some Joy-Con connection issues, likely due to faulty or lower-quality HDMI cable use, but the overheating issue might not have a work around at all. 

Publisher Bandai Namco is set to hit the virtual stage today with its 2025 summer game showcase. Scheduled to go live today on its official YouTube channel this afternoon, the publisher has already teased some of today’s big announcements and promises updates on some of its major upcoming titles as well. Reports have been surfacing in major way over the last 48 hours or so of issues regarding Joy-Con connectivity on Switch 2. If you have been experiencing constant or even internment connection issues with your Switch 2 controllers, that HDMI cable you’re using is likely the culprit. Details await below.

Nintendo Switch 2 will be available to purchase today at Best Buy folks. This restock, in case you missed our previous coverage, is in-store only and most U.S. Best Buy locations open up at 10 a.m. local time (though you might want to call ahead of time to check your specific store). 

Ahead of the Switch 2 launch in the wake of Trump’s ugly tariff situation, analysts sent shockwaves through the gaming world after suggesting the price of the next-gen Nintendo console might end up being even higher than Nintendo initially revealed. Nintendo held the fort and stayed strong on the $449 and $499 launch prices nonetheless, but it still remains to be seen if it will remain steadfast into 2026, especially considering Nintendo Canada just officially announced what sounds a lot like hardware price hikes.

We had a solid run of Switch 2 console restocks this week at both Best Buy and Walmart, but there’s more on the way again. While this week’s events were all online, if you still didn’t get a chance to score one just yet, it looks like you’ll get another shot at it next week, according to an official Best Buy update. 

Now just a few weeks after the release of Nintendo Switch 2 and the new GameCube library, Nintendo has announced the first expansion to its retro Switch Online game library. Early next month, Nintendo will officially expand the Switch 2 GameCube library for the first time with its fourth entry, Super Mario Strikers.

Just after the reveal of its next-generation flagship earbuds, Bose debuted and launched its all-new SoundLink Plus portable speaker. Okay this it folks – the next major Switch 2 restock is going live today. Nintendo Switch 2 will be back in-stock today at Best Buy. Much like it did a couple weeks ago, and right on the heels of Walmart’s re-stock announcement, Best Buy has quietly announced that Switch 2 consoles will be go live again online today.

The Amazon July Prime Day sale is just over two weeks out now, we already have the details on Target’s competitor sale, Best Buy launched its members-only event this morning, and now we know what Walmart has planned. The retailer has now officially announced its big-time July sale as the simply named Walmart Deals event is now scheduled to take flight starting on Tuesday July 8 at 12 a.m. ET. It it’s time to take a look at the upcoming Switch 2 game release schedule. The Switch 2 is clearly off to a wonderful start in terms of sales and Mario Kart World has (mostly) been a big hit among gamers, but despite Switch 2 delivering a more or less solid launch lineup as far as new console launches go, there still feels like something is missing for me. That said, there are some wonderful upgraded Switch 1 games to enjoy and whole host of notable titles on the horizon, both this year and next.

Mario Kart World and the rest of the Nintendo Switch 2 launch games are out in the wild now, but the next major release on Nintendo’s schedule is Donkey Kong Bananza. The all-new 3D DK game has a ton of Super Odyssey vibes, and we have already had a decent look at the game, but there is still more Nintendo wants to show us before its release on Switch 2 come July 17. And today’s dedicated Donkey Kong Bananza Nintendo Direct presentation starts soon. 

Update 6/20: Target has now informed us its Prime Day competitor sale will actually start on July 6 and run through until July 12.

As we reported previously, Amazon is once again winding up to unleash its first Prime Day event of the year and we now have official confirmation it will kick off the four-day sale event on July 8. This also traditionally indicates some major sales from the competition, including the likes of Best Buy and Walmart, but according to our sources, the next Target Circle Week is getting ready to take on the Prime Day event on July 13 July 6.

We knew it was coming, but Amazon has now officially revealed the dates for Prime Day 2025. The July Prime Day event will take place from July 8 through to July 11. Amazon is taking things up a notch this year, expanding the usual 2-day event to four with “millions of deals” and a new “Today’s Big Deals” feature with a rotating series of deals from “from top brands like Samsung, Kiehl’s, and Levi’s.” All of the details are down below.

Spigen is expanding its C1 accessory lineup – you know, the gear designed after the iconic iMac G3 – with an all-new Apple Watch charger stand. There’s loads of Switch 2 cases out there already, but the fabric-like finish and minimalist approach of the Spigen Klasden caught my eye. If you’re into the flashy, colorful models, you’ll want to look elsewhere, but if you like what you’re seeing from the Klasden in the images, head below for some hands-on impressions.

I’ve been on the hunt for a new portable SSD solution and, despite some of the issues its drives have had in past years, SanDisk’s Extreme lineup has been a reliable one for me so opted to test out the latest SanDisk Extreme PRO with USB4. While data transfer speed rates have been spotty at times without modern Thunderbolt 5 ports, it has otherwise been a reliable solution worth considering for all but the most hardcore professionals out there. Let’s dive in.

Today, Bose is unveiling the next-generation of its flagship wireless earbuds with the new QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (2nd Gen). The previous models are widely considered to be among the best options out there, going toe-to-toe with Apple’s AirPods Pro 2 and Sony’s XM5 buds, but now Bose is going to be the first to jump into the next-generation with what could be anywhere from 6 months or (much) more of a head start on the expected upcoming AirPods Pro 3. The new edition brings everything we already know and love about the current version alongside some key improvements in the adaptive noise cancellation, voice pickup, and wireless charging departments. 

While most of the major summer gaming showcases are behind us now – Summer Game Fest, PlayStation State of Play, and the Xbox Game Showcase, Konami’s Press Start starts now (at 9 a.m. ET). This will be your next major chance at more details and gameplay footage for the highly-anticipated upcoming Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater as well as Silent Hill f. Best Buy has now officially confirmed it will have limited Nintendo Switch 2 inventory online today. In a surprise move, and after skipping out on online orders for launch week, Best Buy has sent out an email specifically stating that it will have more Switch 2 console units in-stock today (June 11). 

Nomad is not only one of the premiere Apple gear accessory makers out there, but also a personal favorite of mine. It makes loads of wonderful gear, but most of my favorites fall into its Horween leather collections, and you can add the Find My Tracking Card to the list – it remains in my wallet to this day (here’s my hands-on review).
