When I’m not working on building custom computers or fixing phones, I love to write about technology. I’m always looking out for the best deal on any tech I can get my hands on, so one day I decided, “Why not write about it?!” You can follow me on Twitter or Instagram @pcamp96, though I’m way more active on Twitter. If you’ve got a tip to an awesome deal, go ahead and drop me a line at patrick@9to5mac.com!
As the holidays approach, the days are getting shorter. It’s almost time to start curling up on the couch around a warm fire and watching movies. Amazon is helping with that by putting several digital HD movies on sale for $4.99 each.
DJI is doing a sale on the Osmo Mobile at their official site. Just use the coupon code B75NWXSJ at checkout for a $60 discount. These products all showed free shipping for me.
Water is important, but so is what’s in it. Most people don’t ever think about what’s in their water, even though they obsess over what’s in their food. That’s where Mitte comes in, as it helps take the bad sediments out of the water and replace them with what should be there.
Caseology via Amazon is having another huge sale on iPhone X cases. All cases are priced at $5 with free shipping, and add another $3 if you want to add a 2-pack of tempered glass to the order. Note: You’ll need be sure each listing is without Amazon fulfillment to lock-in free delivery and the discounted price (looks like this). Caseology’s products generally receive great reviews.
OtterBox has been around forever, well, since the early days of the iPhone. The company’s cases originally were bland and boring. Lately, however, they have been venturing out into more unique cases with their own personality.
LifeProof is a name that everyone knows and loves. I’m sure you’ve either owned one or had friends with them. It got its name from making water and drop-proof cases for years, but they’re changing that with SLAM. The latest case from LifeProof brings drop protection with the loss of waterproofing, likely due to the fact that Apple has shipped phones with built-in water-resistance since the iPhone 7.
ZeroLemonOfficial (99% positive feedback) via Amazon is currently running several sales on their MFi-certified iPhone battery cases. They have the iPhone X 4000mAh battery case on sale for $29.99 shipped with coupon code YRZQ7IO5. The iPhone X case normally goes for $40, and this is the first drop its seen.
YI Technology (98% positive feedback) via Amazon has its 4K+ action camera on sale for $254.99 shipped. This camera is normally $300 and has not dipped below that price that we’ve tracked. Recording 4K 60FPS, this camera is built to take on GoPro’s Hero6 camera that was recently announced. The YI 4K+ also features electronic image stabilization when shooting at 4K30. Though the 4K+ doesn’t have many reviews on Amazon, the ones it does have are great with a 4.5/5 star rating. YI products generally get great reviews though.
Retro gaming is all the rage lately. Seriously, it seems like there’s a new retro gaming product announced every week, and I’m perfectly OK with that. I grew up with old-style arcade games as my father worked for Aladin’s Castle and Namco as I grew up, so I was always surrounded by arcade-style gaming. But, enough reminiscing, it’s time to talk about the Cary42. The company behind Cary42, Love Hulten, says the name came about because they wanted to say you could “carry for two.”
BuyDig currently has the Audio-Technica ATH-ANC9 QuietPoint Noise-Cancelling Headphones on sale for $119 shipped with a free $25 BuyDig gift card when you use coupon code ANC2X25 at checkout. These headphones are normally $200 with the current sale being $10 cheaper than Amazon’s best-recorded price. The $25 gift card makes them an even better deal. Just note, the gift card is only good when used on orders of $25+ at BuyDig. Rated 3.7/5 stars at Amazon with over 70% being 4+ star.
Martian smartwatches have been around for years. The company’s latest smartwatch, the mVoice G2, has several unique features though. The biggest stand-out feature for me is that it has analog hangs with a digital face. Yep, it has both the face of a regular watch and modern smartwatch. Martian is always innovating and trying to find good ways to merge the old with the new, and I think they’ve done it with the mVoice G2.
The used gaming market has been dominated by GameStop for quite some time. They normally can save you quite a few bucks on used older titles, though when it comes to newer titles, going used only saves around $5 off new MSRP.
Amazon currently has their own AmazonBasics Hardside 24-Inch Spinner on sale for $62.99 shipped. This luggage is normally $70 and has never received a discount before today. You can never have enough luggage (somehow it always disappears in the attic) so this would be a great addition to any collection. AmazonBasics has great quality at affordable prices, and it shows with a 4.5/5 star rating.
Sonifresh (100% positive feedback lifetime) via Amazon has its DiamondClean Sonic Replacement Heads 8-Pack on sale for $7.36 Prime shipped when you use coupon code 6633UWLB at checkout. These replacement toothbrush heads normally cost $20, with a recent price drop to $16 on Amazon, making this sale the lowest price we’ve tracked. A 4-pack of official Philips Sonicare replacement heads will set you back around $47, for comparison. Sonifresh’s replacement heads fit several Sonicare models but check below to make sure yours is compatible. Rated 4.2/5 stars.
It seems like everyone is making self-maneuvering products these days. Tesla has AutoPilot, DJI has several autonomous flight modes, and most cars today can even parallel park themselves. Honda has now entered the game, but it’s not with the product you’d think.
Amazon currently has BeatsX in-ear Bluetooth headphones with Apple’s W1 chip for just $109 shipped in multiple colors. Black, blue, grey, and white are on sale. These headphones rarely see price drops from their $150 price point, though we have seen them dip as low as $90 once. The W1 chip included in these headphones makes pairing a breeze, and audio quality is superb. I love wearing my BeatsX when working out or doing yard work. Rated 3.8/5 stars at Amazon by over 500 customers, and 4.5/5 stars by over 2,500 customers at Best Buy.
Outdoor cameras can be expensive or hard to set up. Some cameras require you to run long cables, others require that you drill into the wall or fascia of your house. That’s where remo+’s latest product comes into play, the DoorCam. DoorCam is a battery-operated HD camera that hangs over your door to give you two-way communication with anyone who’s outside your home, with no installation required. This motion-sensing hanging camera is really unique, and that’s what I love about it. It’s the perfect tool for apartment dwellers who can’t mount a camera outside or business owners who have nowhere to mount that camera.
ECOO (99% positive feedback) via Amazon has two of its items on sale right now that are perfect for the upcoming camping weather. First, they have an essential part of any camping arsenal: a good, compact backpack. The 20L lightweight daypack backpack is on sale for just $9.79 Prime shipped when you use coupon code RJHUP5M7 at checkout. The hiking backpack normally runs $14, with this sale being an all-time low on Amazon. The backpack measures just 6.7 x 5.9 x 1.2-inches when folded up, making it the perfect travel companion in your suitcase or when on the road. Rated 4.4/5 stars.
Televisions have been evolving since they came out. From black and white tube televisions to new 8K beauties, we’ve seen TVs come a long way. The latest launch from Hisense isn’t really a TV, it’s a projector… But it’s also a TV? It’s both, according to them. Basically, Hisense partnered with Screen Innovations to bring you a brilliantly crisp 100-inch screen that mounts flush on your wall. Hisense manufactured the “TV” portion of this home-theater system, and it’s all done by a short-throw 4K laser-powered projector. Yes, lasers.
Security is on everyone’s minds lately, and most would love to add security cameras around their house. The one drawback to adding these security cameras is either price for wireless or experience for wired. Most wireless cameras are quite expensive, like Nest Cam, Netgear’s Arlo, and others. That’s where WyzeCam steps in. Priced at just $19.99 with $5.99 flat-rate shipping, WyzeCam is one of the most affordable wireless security cameras on the market today.
Aukey Direct (100% positive feedback) via Amazon has their 1080P 6-Lane 170° field of view dash camera on sale for just $49.69 shipped when you use coupon code YP3MX6P8 at checkout. Normally priced at $70, this is over 25% off the retail price of this dash camera. With full 1080P recording, you’ll be able to capture all of the information you could ever want about the drivers around you to keep a personal record of any accident, ticket, or more. Rated 4.2/5 stars from over 350 Amazon reviewers.
We all have seen the videos on Facebook of an amazing time-lapse, a great sliding shot, or a unique perspective that is hard to attain without expensive sliders and equipment. Dyno Equipment recently launched a new product on Indiegogo that does just that, for a fraction of the price of competitors.
Trek, an app-controlled motorized slider, aims to bring you professional results at hobbyist prices. Working with GoPro, your phone, or even smaller cameras, Trek looks to be the perfect slider and accessory for the shutterbug in your life. With estimated delivery in January 2018, the launch of this unique product is just around the corner.
Satechi is a well-known brand on Amazon when it comes to quality products at affordable prices. Their latest release continues that trend by providing you an Apple-style Bluetooth remote to control all of your devices. This remote features two modes for different purposes: media and presentation.
It’s that time of the year. Well, it’s that time of the year again. Apple’s iPhone X pre-order date is just a few days away, and if you’re anything like me, you’ll do whatever you can to save a few bucks on Apple’s $1,000+ phone. Carriers are here to help this time, offering savings of up to $350 off the retail price of an iPhone X over the course of 18-24 months.
It doesn’t matter whether you want to get your iPhone from Apple directly or through a carrier, there are several deals you can take advantage of. Right now we have deals from Sprint, Verizon, and T-Mobile. While AT&T has yet to jump into the mix, we expect them to at some point, along with major retail chains. As more deals come, we’ll keep you updated.
