Black Friday always offers a wide variety of discounts on a number of products, but so far this year its been slim for consumers looking for a new Mac. We have confirmed some deals from Best Buy, but they are not offering a wide variety of configurations, and have tax implications depending on your state.

Adorama and B&H Photo are both offering discounts on most Mac models this week, we’ve already spotted a nice price drop on an iMac with Retina 5K display + AppleCare from Adorama.

In some cases Adorama is bundling AppleCare with a purchase for a discounted price. B&H currently only charges for taxes for New York residents at the time of purchase, while it varies for Adorama. Additionally, you’ll need a free Adorama VIP membership to take advantage of these prices.

Amazon has the Samsung Galaxy S5 for $1 with a two-year contract agreement (Verizon, Sprint, AT&T). Best Buy has also matched this offer for the S5. This ties the lowest price that we’ve seen, Sam’s Club and Target will be offering this deal on Black Friday. Over 300 Amazon users rate this smartphone 4.5/5 stars.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 features 4G LTE connectivity, a 2.5GHz processor, 5.1-inch 1080p display and 16MP camera. Additionally, it is rated for 29 hours of talk time according to Samsung.

We positively reviewed the S5 after a month of use following its release:

Amazon has the Dyson DC59 Animal cordless vacuum cleaner for $349.99 shipped. That’s a savings of $150 off the regular price, $50 better than what we expect for Black Friday, and the lowest that we have ever seen it.

Next up, Amazon has the Nespresso A+C60 Pixie espresso maker in chrome for $159.83 shipped. This is a savings of 44% off the original list price, the lowest that Amazon has ever sold it for and the best price that we can currently find. This espresso maker is rated 4.5/5 stars by 155 customers.

Home automation possibilities are endless and what our homes will be like in the coming 5, 10 or 15 years is truly unknown. It is a constantly evolving sector of the technology scene that continues to grow each day with every new product announcement. Missing that feeling of designing something so much, that he had to sneak into the basement of the Ralph Lauren mansion to create his own prototypes after hours.

Today, digital book service Scribd has announced that it has added more than 30,000 audiobooks to its library at no extra charge. Scribd already offers more than half a million books as a part of its service, which is available for $8.99/month. The best part about a new technology is how it develops quickly over a short period of time, we’ve seen it time and time before. Now more than ever, there are hundreds if not thousands of ways to capture any part of our lives, be it our iPhone or a GoPro, technology has flown forward in terms of holding onto any event. Today, Oakley and Garmin have announced a partnership that takes that even one step further, at least for winter sports.

Building off the Oakley Airwave platform that allows snowboarders, skiers and winter sport athletes to capture data about their jumps as well as other analytics, Garmin has now upped the abilities in partnership with the Airwave.
