OJO is the “world’s first projector for Nintendo Switch” and offers much more

There is certainly room for new accessories to improve the experience of the Nintendo Switch. We’ve been seeing chargers and docks from third-party accessory makers since the console’s release, but nothing like the new OJO projector that is currently being funded at Indiegogo. It has a built-in power bank to charge your Switch while it’s docked, a 200 lumen projector, and a high quality speaker among other features. The OJO just hit the crowdfunding site and has already met its funding goal of $30,000 within 24 hours of launching, meaning it most likely will be available at retail outlets in the near future.

Play Star Wars: KOTOR, more on your Xbox One starting October 24th

Companies love to re-release games with updated graphics and storylines, similar to how Star Wars: Battlefront II was recently in open beta. However, often this doesn’t bode well with players as the game is nothing like the original. Well, Microsoft seems to have (somewhat) fixed that problem, and it’s launching tomorrow. Announced back at E3 alongside the Xbox One X, Microsoft said they would be making some original Xbox titles work on the Xbox One. That was the last we heard of it until recently, and now we have a list of 13 games that will be compatible with the Xbox One.

All three of the aforementioned titles are already up for pre-order on Amazon and elsewhere, but Dark Horse isn’t quite finished with the collection just yet.

Nintendo’s New SNES-themed 3DS XL + Mario Kart coming holiday 2017, pre-order now

Pre-order

A couple months ago, Nintendo unveiled one of the most impressive options in its 3DS line yet. At the time, European gamers were treated with a New 3DS XL designed to look like the classic SNES system from overseas, but there was no sign the machine would be coming stateside. While some of us (other than the lucky winner of our giveaway) won’t get a chance to own one of those special little SNES Edition consoles Nintendo re-released, the New 3DS XL SNES Edition is now here to fill the void.

This Nintendo Switch clone can play thousands of retro NES/SNES/N64 games [Video]

Just last month Nintendo announced that most of its classic arcade titles from back in the day would be making their way to Switch. Certainly exciting news for nostalgic gamers, but we are still waiting for a proper, full-blown retro game store for NES and SNES titles, among others. While many of us will have to stick with PC-based emulations, some tinkerers are sick of waiting for an official storefront and less-than-ideal desktop ROMs.

We recently published a detailed breakdown of how to create your very Retro Pi gaming console from scratch using nothing but readily-available consumer products. And just recently we spotted a homemade Nintendo Switch clone designed by Tim Lindquist to play just about any vintage title you can think of.

Sony debuts mirror-finish Star Wars Battlefront 2 PS4 Pro console bundle, more

Pre-order

It is shaping up to be a big holiday season for the Star Wars franchise. The latest entry in the film series is set to hit theaters in mid-December while the sequel to Battlefront is releasing on November 17th for all major gaming consoles. Just last week EA kicked off the early beta for Star Wars Battlefront 2, giving gamers a chance to get a sneak peak at some of the title’s new additions along with a taste of various game modes. While reviews were somewhat lackluster for the initial Battlefront release, it looks as though EA has tidied up most of the rough edges this time around.

Sony certainly seems to think it will be a success this time around considering the new PlayStation bundles it just announced. Both PS4 Pro and the standard version are getting the Star Wars treatment just in time for the holidays with a pair of new limited edition console bundles.
