Google is giving Ol’ St. Nicholas a run for his money this holiday season because it ALSO knows what people want for the holidays. Rather than getting mail in the North Pole however, Google gets its data via its popular search engine. In data from its Trends platform, it has determined the top trending toys, devices and apparel searches on Google Shopping. An overview from the Commerce blog:
But the most important data they pulled, especially if you are a clueless father like myself, is the top 10 Kids’ gifts list. Without further ado, in order:
3. Paw Patrol
4. Lego Friends
5. Ouija Board
6. Peppa Pig
7. Shopkins
8. Nerf Guns
10. Zoomer Dino
Any of this hitting home?

Google Play offers Imagine Dragon’s ‘Night Visions’ album as a free download. As a pricing comparison, the cheapest you’ll generally find this release for is $6. It features the hit song ‘Radioactive’ along with 10 other tracks.
If you’re a Kendrick Lamar fan then I would definitely give his ‘Radioactive’ remix a listen. The pair also performed it at the Grammy’s and it was crazy. Bonus tip: try and find Taylor Swift dancing like a gangster during the performance, you will not be disappointed.
Even though Night Visions has several repackaged tunes from Imagine Dragons’ previous EPs, including the instantly appealing breakthrough hit “It’s Time,” the band’s debut LP is a confident, commercially savvy collection of energetic hooks, crunchy electro beats and glossy synthesizers. With sweeping choruses and booming bass, it’s big-sounding party rock, but the savvy, kitchen-sink production of Alex da Kid makes other would-be singles like “Bleeding Out” and “Tiptoe” as interesting as they are overwhelming. Even though under all the layers there are occasionally pockets of pure cheese (“With the beast inside, there’s nowhere we can hide,” Dan Reynolds sings on “Demons”), the scope of the band’s full-length debut leaves a big impression.
Nate Cavalieri, Google Play

Last week, Google, Amazon, and Sonos teamed up to offer 6 months free of Google Play All Access and a $50 Amazon credit with the purchases of a Sonos speaker. Now, Google is partnering with AT&T for another deal. Starting today, you will get $50 in Google Play credit when you purchase a qualifying Android smartphone from AT&T. The credit is valid towards anything in the Play Store, such as apps, movies, music, and TV.
Every Android device AT&T sells qualifies, while iPhones Windows Phones obviously do not. The deal is also valid with all of AT&T’s contract options, including two-year agreements and AT&T Next. The deal will run until July 17th and is available on AT&T’s website only, not in stores. A new line of service is required, as well.
AT&T is selling a variety of popular smartphones right now, including the HTC One M8, Moto X, and Galaxy S5. You can read more about this offer on AT&T’s website.

Amazon offers a free $50 Amazon credit with the purchase of any Sonos PLAY:3 or PLAY:5 wireless speaker. Even better, Sonos is still giving new users 6 months of free access to the Google Play streaming music service. Sonos products don’t go on sale very often, so scoring two promotions on a single purchase is a great deal.
The Sonos streaming speakers provide wireless access to your iTunes music library, Pandora, SiriusXM and other music services from your iPhone, iPad or other smart device. Critics hail the Sonos system for being incredibly easy to setup and pumping out huge room-filling sound. You can easily extend your system by simply adding more Sonos players throughout your listening space. Simply put, the Sonos Player is one of the best ways to add a great sounding internet streaming sound system to your home or work space.
