Beginning this Sunday, June 8th, Target stores are reportedly planning one of the best iPad deals we’ve seen since Black Friday. According to an early ad scan obtained by the Times Union blog, Target will offer the first generation iPad mini for just $199. To put this deal in perspective you must consider that just yesterday Apple dropped its refurbished price for the same model down to $219 and we considered that a slam dunk deal.
Originally released in fall of 2012, the iPad mini is still apart of Apple’s current iPad lineup and will receive iOS 8 later this year. It features a 7.9-inch LED-backlist display, dual-core A5 chip, and up to 10-hours of battery life.
The ad warns that only limited quantities are available so we would highly recommend getting to your local Target store before it opens.
Get ready for your new iPad mini by saving 70% on a ZAGG backlit keyboard case.
eBay has the 16GB iPad Mini with Wi-Fi (1st gen.) for only $239.99 shipped. That’s $90 off the original list price, $43 less than Amazon, and the lowest we could find.

One of the best ways to get a discount on brand new Macs has typically been Apple’s education pricing, but that’s not true this release cycle. Best Buy has been offering customers with .edu email addresses a $150 savings on nearly all MacBooks but until now the brand new April 2014 MacBook Airs were excluded.
Best Buy has lifted the ban on these models so you can use your unique education discount on any of the new MacBook Airs, which will net you the entry-level 11-inch model for just $749.99 with free shipping (17% off). As a pricing comparison, Apple only offers its education customers a $50 discount on this same model. This is currently the best pricing you’ll find on a new condition MacBook Air from the past two years since the EOL deal is now sold out.
To cash in on this deal you must register your .edu email address here, wait to receive a confirmation email from Best Buy, and then apply the promo code from the email during checkout.

Update (4/29 12:08pm): Looks like the $599 model is now sold out, but stay tuned because we will let you know when they are back!
The release of updated MacBook Air models this morning has prompted Apple to drop the price of previous generation refurbished models down to unprecedented levels. The mid 2012 models now start at just $599 and include a 1-year warranty. These models feature dual-core Intel Core i5 processors and LED-backlit widescreen displays. There are currently three different models listed with storage capacities up to 256GB, but that can change at any moment since Apple refurbished inventory is generally extremely limited.

Update (4/24 9:15am): We just wanted to clarify that the offer is for 100GB of total cloud space: 50GB as traditional storage and 50GB used for syncing to keep files/media uniform across all of your IDrive devices. Feel free to hit us up in the comment section if you have any other questions.
Cloud storage and sync service IDrive is now offering iOS users 100GB of cloud storage for just $0.99 a year. After announcing a very similar deal for Android recently, iPhone and iPad users can now grab the 100GB of cloud storage and syncing (50GB backup + 50GB sync) for just a fraction of the price of Apple’s iCloud service as an in-app purchase inside the free IDrive (Online Backup) app. By comparison, Apple charges $100 per year for 50GB of storage, with an additional 10GB upgrade for $20.
IDrive offers a simple way to backup contacts, calendar info, photos and other files and sync them across all your devices. You’ll find sharing features with permissions and password options, as well as gallery functionality for viewing photos and videos. You can see the full feature list and security details below:
Best Buy is offering the 32GB iPhone 5c for only $50 with a new 2yr contract with either AT&T, Verizon, or Sprint in all available colors. Customers who bring in a “eligible” iPhone 4s (which usually just means “in pretty good shape”), will also get a $100 credit towards their iPhone 5s purchase, which knocks the price down to a very manageable $0.
Nearly 6 months after its initial release, the iPad mini with Retina display is now available for purchase from the official Apple Refurbished Store.

Now just days after the 50% off iPassword for Mac sale ended, developer AgileBits is dropping half off both the OS X and iOS versions of its popular password security app in the aftermath of the massive Heartbleed bug. 1Password on iOS is available today for $9 down from its usual $18 and the Mac version drops is just $25 down from $50. Both versions rarely see discounts this deep, the Mac version is the lowest we’ve seen outside of special bundle deals and launch pricing and the iOS version is within a dollar of the lowest we’ve ever seen it.
The 9to5Mac team loves this app for its simplicity, ease of use and rock solid security. 1Password acts as a vault for all of your website logins, credit card information and other confidential data. Features:

iOS Universal: 1Password: $9 (Reg. $18)
