As a pricing comparison, AT&T ran a promo in November offering the 16GB model for $100, but did not discount any other capacities or carriers (obviously!). The iPhone 5c is also available for $50.
The iPhone 5s features Touch ID security, an A7 chip with 64-bit architecture, and an improved iSight camera with slow-mo/burst mode capabilities.

Black Friday is well in the rear-view mirror and that means our shopping focus is now firmly zeroed in on Cyber Monday. The online sales event now matches Black Friday in deals, specials, savings and more. Due to this year’s abbreviated holiday shopping season many retailers are extending Cyber Monday into a week long event. Below is a list of the best pre-announced Cyber Monday deals, but we fully expect a steady stream of new deals to pop up during the course of the day. Follow 9to5Toys for the latest deals: Twitter, RSS Feed, Facebook, Google+. Keep in mind that all deals are subject to availability and could change at any moment.
It might not be as good as the $0 offer available through some of the smaller regional carriers, but if you want a discount on a new iPhone 5s this weekend from one of the big guys this might be the best deal we see. Best Buy just let us know it’s offering the iPhone 5s on the usual two-year contract for $75 off. That puts it at $125 instead of the usual $199 up-front cost of the device, and the deal is good for AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon. That’s the price of the 16GB model, but the deal also extends to the 32GB model for $225, and the 64GB model for $325.
If you’d rather go with T-Mobile, the carrier currently has a $0 down deal on iPhones, but that won’t really save you much on the cost of the device. The monthly instalment plan is $27 a month instead of the usual $20, so you’ll still pay off the cost of your device after two years. Still a great way to get an iPhone for $0 down if you’re a T-Mobile customer or into its no-contract plans. Walmart seems to have the only decent discount on the iPhone 5c at $45 ($30 off) on-contract.
Best Buy’s iPhone deal will last today and tomorrow only. The company also just announced it’s offering $50 off the white and space gray iPad mini.

Amazon is offering the Logitech FabricSkin folio keyboard case for iPad Air for $119.99 with free shipping. That’s a $30 price drop and the first ever discount on this recently released iPad Air accessory. It features a reachable battery w/ up to 3 months of use on a full charge, iOS specific shortcut keys, and ample protection from everyday bumps/drops and even water hazards.
If you haven’t picked up an iPad Air yet be sure to take advantage of this limited-time $50 discount from Staples. FabricSkin deal is also available from Best Buy and includes a couple more colors.
9to5Mac reviewed several iPad Air keyboard cases and found the Logitech FabricSkin to be the winner:
Using the accessory as a case for the Air while not in keyboard mode is comfortable and convenient. Relatively, the cover (which protects the front and back of the iPad Air) is not much bulkier than a non-keybaord case built for the same purpose. However, the electronics in the accessory add some weight. The volume rocker, rear camera, speakers, and power button are all accessible while the cover is closed.

This weekend only, BestBuy is offering substantial gift cards with purchase of iPad 2, Retina and Minis.
A $50 gift card will be sent with the purchase of an iPad 2 or iPad with Retina Display yielding close to all time low prices (assuming you use the cards). Also iPad Mini purchasers will receive $25 gift cards making those purchases some of the lowest we’ve seen. The gift card will be sent separately and the offer ends on July 22nd.
If you can’t think of anything to use the Best Buy gift card on you can opt to buy an iPad 4 for $450 or iPad mini for $300 plus potential tax savings at time of purchase for some. Both deals are part of eBay’s Daily Deals promo.

As one of their deals of the day, Best Buy is offering a refurbished Samsung Chromebook 11.6″ WiFi/2GB/16GB Flash for $170 with free shipping. That is a total savings of $80 off retail and $30 below the lowest price we had seen before today’s deal. The Samsung Chromebook provides an 11.6-inch display, Samsung Exynos 5250 Dual Core Processor, 2GB of RAM, 2 USB ports, and HDMI.
9to5Google reviewed the Chromebook and found it to be perfect for light computing (web browsing, word processing, email, etc).
At $250, this is a no-brainer buy for many people. Just for Google’s bump in services alone, this is a compelling offer. Google gives you 100 GB of online space—something that normally costs $60 per year—free. It also hooks you up with 12 Gogo in-flight Internet vouchers that are worth around $10 each. That means (on data costs alone) the Chromebook breaks free just after two years of use. Plus, you get a very usable machine to ‘boot’.
So, who is this for? If you depend on your computer’s speed for your livelihood, this computer is going to be frustratingly slow. Get a faster machine like a high-end MacBook Air or MacBook Pro. However, if you want to have a backup machine or a secondary machine, the Samsung Chromebook makes a lot of sense for emergencies.
Amazon reviewers love it too, extending a 4 star rating from over 2,400 entries.

Tomorrow, Best Buy will reboot its “free iPhone 5” with iPhone 4 or iPhone 4S trade-in campaign. Best Buy ran this special for one-day earlier this month, and the company said that that day was its most successful device trade-in day ever. Here’s how the program works:
Update: The deal is now live. Head over to Best Buy to save $50 on any iPhone with a 2 year contract.
Beginning this Sunday, Best Buy will be extending a $50 discount on every current iPhone offering when purchased with a 2 year contract, reports AllThingsD. This promotion is said to make a 4 week run and will drop the price of an iPhone 5 down to just $150.
Historically speaking, iPhones do not typically see many discounts until they near the end of their life cycle when retailers try to clear old stock. But the iPhone 5 has been on sale a couple times already, as low as $127 from a Walmart in-store promotion. It’s believed that increased competition from low-cost smartphones and retailers attempting to drive traffic into stores are catalysts for these promotions.
The 9to5Toys team is expecting more heavy discounts on Apple products all weekend to celebrate Memorial Day, be sure to stop by and see what’s happening.
